It has been almost two months since we were conscripted by ALASTAIR, and we have yet to meet, introduce ourselves, and discuss what we’ve learned in person and in an orderly fashion. In light of recent… developments, increased cooperation will become a necessity to pool what we’ve learned and plan a deliberate way forward.

I expect all of you at the red warehouse between the commoner's district and the outskirts, six days from now at sundown. For those of you inclined to provoke tensions with local law enforcement, incarceration is not an excuse for tardiness or absence.

Oh, well....some might have? I think. I haven't myself, not yet. But we can't be sure how long we'll be here. It doesn't seem like a bad idea if some people found something to keep them busy while we figure this out.

You're too young for most jobs, in any case.

[ She drums her fingers against her hip. ]

Still, taking semi-permanent employment might be a good idea in the next world -- to earn money and to blend in.

[ She spent years living like that, wandering from village to village and taking dangerous, menial tasks. At least Ahad will be better company at it than her father was. ]

Y-yes, I guess so. I didn't have one back home, besides the chores I helped out with around the house, mostly the cooking and cleaning and dishes, taking turns with my brother, especially when dad was out at work. But it wouldn't be a bad idea. If I could find something or think of a way to earn a bit more myself to help out.

[Though mostly she just likes feeling helpful, useful.]

You might take a job as a messenger or a delivery girl in the next world. It would provide you with an excuse to travel extensively, even enter people's workplaces and homes. I don't believe anyone would even consider that you might be gathering information for ALASTAIR.

A messenger or delivery girl....I can get around pretty easily and quickly using the Fly card. That might be a good idea! Especially if it might help in our missions!

You made a video mentioning cards, but it's not a form of magic I'm familiar with.

I think the Clow Cards are pretty unique. A powerful magician back home made them, combining the magic of the West and the East. They look like tarot cards but have their more physical forms too. There are nineteen of them, and they all do different things. With the Fly card, I can use that one to make the wings on my staff get bigger and use that to fly around. Or the Sword transforms my staff to a weapon. Shield is kind of obvious too, I guess....there's also the elemental ones that are probably among the most powerful.

[She's really not likely to ever actually get used to trying to explain them. Not really. But she tries?]
