video; un: demon cyborg
[ Genos is sitting on the floor in a small room, with a mix of confusion and annoyance on his face. There's a lot of yellow fabric scattered around, and behind him, a hint of Saitama on a visible side of the floor; lying down, reading something.
The annoyance comes from losing a fight in which cyborg is participating. With needle and thread against a tattered...yellow...rag? He puts away the needle and presents the rag- ah, it's actually a yellow jumpsuit, full of holes though - to the viewers. Some of the holes are patched up, with the different yellow fabric. The color is close enough, but the texture is different so they do stand out. ]
While we still have some time before the mission begins, and I understand that gathering intel, and investigating the museum is our top priority right now, I still have a small request for assistance
[ He tries to fold the uniform without damaging it further ]
Is anyone here skilled in the art of tailoring, or specifically, fixing clothes? Unfortunately, I do not possess necessary experience and knowledge required to save my sensei's hero suit. Contact to trusted tailor would be welcome as well, but since we don't have much time left, I'd rather not have the suit left behind when we get ported back.
[ At this point Saitama just rolls over and says ]
Genos, stop bothering people about unnecessary stuff.
[ Genos, of course, turns back to him ]
It's very necessary, I know how much your uniform means to you-- [ the video ends before he finishes the tirade ]

[ there's a heavy sigh to go along with it. Someone here might be a little prejudiced. ]
If you can heal, you've earned your place, I guess.

[SQUINTS.]

However you're here, part of the team, so I can only assume you must have earned that trust and place, by behaving in an acceptable manner.
But do not doubt, if you ever hurt anyone, I will hunt you down.
[ Genos got...a very narrow and extreme definition of "monster" ]

It was brought to my attention that I was acting on incomplete information, and personal prejudice, and as such, I owe you an apology. As you're peaceful, and "sweetheart" and "wouldn't hurt a fly" [ he does mimic a little Mettaton tone on the quoted parts ]

Right now, he appreciates it immensely. He doesn't recall having met someone so blatantly
hateful of Monsters as a member of ALASTAIR. Sure, there's been distrust, there's been suspicion, but no one he can recall being threatened by just because he was a Monster.
Papyrus sighs, although it's more relieved he doesn't have to explain himself.]
Mettaton told you all that, right? Thank you for the apology. I didn't think there was anyone here still so upset by Monsters! There's a few of us here in Aldente-
[...Yeah, he said Aldente.]
-that are monsters. I'm just letting you know, so you don't freak out! There's me- my name's Papyrus, by the way! There's also my brother Sans, Mettaton, and Undyne. We're all from the same world, but there's a few others here that are kinda Monsters too!
I can't speak for anyone but myself, but I promise, I'd never hurt someone!

I don't think "upset" is a right word choice here. In my world "monsters" seem to be something different than you and others from your world.
I acted impulsively in what I assumed to be in the best interest of human part of the team.
[ Forgetting that human or not, they're still on a team ]
Next time I will keep cooperation that is base of the Alde- [ NO, THAT'S A WAY TO COOK PASTA ] Audentes in mind, instead of jumping to conclusions.

[It's a little disheartening to hear that in some world, Monsters really aren't that good, but... he's heard of this before at this point.]
Well! Thank you for that! You know what they say when you jump to conclusions!

[What. No. No one says this. He doesn't know what he's talking about.]

That doesn't sound very dangerous.

I wouldn't be throwing stones with that haircut, darling. It's almost as ugly as your attitude.

You were not invited to this conversation.

So!! Here's some advice!!
[DRUMROLL...]
Don't judge a book by its cover. It's simple, I know, but it's a life lesson we can all take to heart! For instance - yes, Papyrus is a skeleton and I'm sure that's frightening to you. But he's a sweetheart, I promise! He wouldn't hurt a fly! There's no reason in the world to ever threaten him!!
Oh! Or, as another example! You SEEM like you don't have any manners, fashion sense, or the good grace to keep your nasty mouth shut, but I'm SURE you'd know to rethink insulting someone else, wouldn't you?

I know what monsters can do to innocent people, and I won't let it happen here.
[ but that "don't judge a book by its cover" reminder is something he's been trying to work on ]
As long as you adhere to what you preach, I will tolerate your presence here. If he's as peaceful as you say, he's in no danger from me.

Geno. Sweetheart.
Let's tone the overprotective angle down a bit, shall we? It's played out. We've seen it far too many times. Or do you honestly want to play the role of the hypocritical robot who calls other people a danger to society when he, himself, can hardly pass in that society either?
Honestly, I believe you owe my friend an apology.
no subject
I've seen your kind [ as in, widely defined monsters ] appear innocent and weak to lure unsuspecting heroes into a deadly trap.
[ But yes, the apologies might be in order... one day ]
no subject
And, for the record? You might want to think about caring.
no subject
It tampers hostility in his voice, but only a little ]
Fair point.
But why do you call yourself "monsters" in the first place? That word has very clear definition and connotations. If you're not evil and don't want to be seen as such, why call yourself that?

A lot of names lose their original meaning when someone decides they don't like the people attached to them.
