Well, Audentes, it’s certainly be a trip. [ and he says that with finger quotes. ] Out of the frying pan and into the fire, that should be our motto.

[ for someone stuck in a maze, Loki still manages to find his confidence. ]

As we take a stroll through the maze and await the next hit single of its proprietor, I—or we, rather—would like to share a few words with you. Our Zymandis tag-a-long has spoken with us regarding some of our curiosities.

Unlike ALASTAIR, Zymandis has a fully functional chain of command, all the way from the higher ups to the underlings. Commanders and sub-commanders and the whole bit, going all the way to the tippy top under their leader … you know—Leader. [ he’s just gonna add that right in on there as a good rub. ] They recruit based on volunteers, and have seen their own share of those slipping through the cracks in the multiverse to end up where they are. It seems that this Mavahari is indebted to them through her rescue, and has pledged her life to follow their blah blah blah rebirth narrative blah blah blah.

Not only that, but they believe that the rebirth itself will prevent the next shatter of our dear multiverse. If the entropy is allowed to play out as is, the result will be much of what happens with Surtur gets his hands on something—burnt to a crisp.

Now, we’re not here to start another back-and-forth, however … we still do have the little detail of our Zymandis stowaway. She’s a political assassin, so I’d suggest not doing much to anger her. [ he’s looking at you Thor. ] For now at least.

I'd say that it's debatable.

It's not her allegiance that I'm after. You remember Aldrif, right? She had a system that she followed—a little this for that. This woman is similar in honor. She plays in debt. It's how she repays Zymandis for saving her.

She might owe us a greater debt for not killing her. [It's not a serious suggestion, he's simply thinking aloud while his deeper thoughts turn to their sister.

What has she wanted in exchange for the information she has already given us?

[ he doesn't think she works on such a strict methodology as Angela does, but he was careful. ]

But the escape is something big. I suppose the question is should we call her on it now, or allow her to return to Zymandis and make contact later?

Is Zymandis not likely to suspect she is in our debt? How ruthless an organisation are they?

Are their movements not dictated by the organization? [You just said they were more organised than ALASTAIR.



Not that it's hard to be more organised than ALASTAIR but.

While is sounds like a good idea to have a spy on the inside, said spy would be useless if dead or locked up.]

You've seen more of Zymandis than I.

They are, but there are those that seem to seek pleasure in the destruction and those who seem to find it a duty for the greater good.

[ there's a heave as Loki sighs. ]

Sometimes I wonder if their agents even know ALASTAIR exists.

Have ALASTAIR's efforts been so insignificant?

[There's a depressing thought, one he doesn't expect an answer to.

Not for the first time, he wonders how much easier things would be if he had Mjolnir here. Even a few more Avengers, warriors and scientists who he'd seen face other problems-] We are a diverse collection, aren't we?

If we know as little of the enemy as it sounds like, it's the wisest thing to do. [It's grudgingly admitted. Odinson understands the wisdom and necessity of ambush and secrecy in gaining any advantage-

Has our guest said anything about the extent of Zymandis reach? How many they have working on their side?
