Hello. My name is Arthur, and I speak to you today representing the Order of the Chimera. I've tracked down one of your own who has graciously allowed me to contact you all.

You're likely aware that some of your people are being detained by the guard on charges of treason. This is due in no small part to the Order meeting they were present at. My people have been taken, too. I understand you may oppose the Order, but in this instance, I believe it would benefit us all to work together to free them.

[He pauses for a moment.]

If freeing your companions isn't motivation enough, my brother is in custody as well. Although I hear the guard has invented a barrier to absorb magic, I have no doubts he will eventually escape. However, the longer he is kept, the greater his retribution will become. [Gravely:] If you value the safety of the people of Chantes, or even your own, I suggest you join the cause.

There is little time. We infiltrate the prison tomorrow, regardless of the risks. I assure you the damage will be much greater should Michel grow even angrier.

[ so they did have investment in their locked up comrades after all. good to know. considering he was looking to track any of those from the still-free Order down himself, Arthur's showing up is both not too out of bounds with what he was expecting and a serious time saver. thanks for that.

on the other hand, his proposal is bold enough to keep the announcement from staying too predictable. if they're seriously going to infiltrate the jail come tomorrow, they're going to need to run through a plan quickly in lieu of expecting a total shitshow. ]

I propose splitting up into temporary squads. I want a united front when the crown comes to detain us next, and an eye on every troublemaker.

I can take down the barrier, but only with time and concentration. I will need the guards taken care of in the meantime.

Speaking of which, what's your plan for this barrier?

[ if he's relying on them for taking care of the guards, then they're going out on a limb just as much for his ability to deal with the barrier. and with that in mind, his colleague makes a good point, even if he's considerably more inclined to deal with them on a basis of trusting each others' word. ]

What's your experience with it?

I'm used to units of six, but whatever number is fine. Ah, right, and one person appointed captain, so that we can quickly respond to scouting, formation changes, things like that. [Theoretically, someone with power should appoint leaders, to prevent arguing. Not that they can do that here, where they all stand as unsteady equals. It's no trouble to him, but Kashuu idly wonders what sort of struggles might start.]

What squads are you considering at the moment?

[If they're going to try and organize, she'd like to be kept in the loop.]

Considering how little time we have, it's best to keep it simple.

[ not to mention, he's really not a strategist, so while he's more than prepared to give his input on how they physically handle the operation, he's going to need some more people to organize it besides himself. ]

We need some brains to coordinate our formation. They can point the assault and support squads where they need to be.

[Sadly she's no strategist herself, but at least she's worked with enough to have a general idea of how things ought to work.]
