I understand that there is likely much business you have to attend to now that we have returned to Headquarters, but I thought it best to extend the invitation to everyone in the interest of team cooperation.

I shall be hosting a small banquet in honor of my fourteenth birthday now that the snow moon has waned in my own world (if my calculations are correct). If you would care to join me in these celebrations, do feel free to visit my quarters tomorrow afternoon. Victuals and beverages shall be provided, and directions attached below.

In my own village not quite so much... at least, not every year. But many other human cultures I have encountered celebrate them, and it is quite enjoyable.

Some cultures make a thing of gifts or offerings, but they are entirely optional. If you have any dietary restrictions, however, I should like to know!

It is possible that there are a few ingredients I am incapable of effectively ingesting, but I have not yet encountered anything in this universe that is cause for concern.

In general, most substances considered edible by humans are also edible to the Chiss. We are uniquely compatible.
