[Yep, it’s Urahara. Everyone’s favorite jackass, beaming at the camera in all his be-buckethatted glory] It looks like I perfected my latest project just in time. I call it-

[And here he holds up what looks like a tiny computer chip, as he speaks with a booming flourish:] Project Fey! Turn the Enemies Against One Another!

[If you’re embarrassed by him, trust me… you definitely should be. It’s a natural reaction]

It’s a specialty chip designed to attach to the cleaning robots that activates when they start up. If we plant these little doodads in government buildings, then we have a chance to spy on officials and find out information without endangering anyone else. We’ll be able to see if there’s any incriminating evidence we can leak to the masses to get the upper class to turn to our side as well.

Of course, it’s a really daunting task, and I couldn’t hope to do it all by myself, so if anyone feels up to being sneaky, we need people to get into places to put these chips in the cleaning robots, as well as a few hands on deck to make extra chips with Rost's help, and sift through the data. And fighters to protect all of our backs! Every little bit helps.

[ Are nanocameras a thing? Scott does not know. Hank would know. Amadeus would know. He's really regretting that he didn't somehow try to recruit one of his technological geniuses before he split to join up. ]

We don't actually want them to riot. Or feel like we're blackmailing them, either. Especially if the prime minister might be blackmailing them to keep them in line.

If there's a way to do it more cleanly, I'm all ears, but even in a corrupt situation, the upper class tends to go with the winner because it ensures the stability of their lives.

That said... the information could also help us figure out where to focus our attention if we need a quick replacement for the Prime Minister.

I don't think there's going to be a clean solution to this. There aren't enough pieces on the board for that, and we don't have time to make them from scratch. But if we're going to play dirty, we can at least be judicious about what kind of dirty.

[ Which is to say, Scott's ready to live with a lot of gray, but he still draws the line at assassination and execution. ]

And how much of it takes place in the open versus behind closed doors.

I think we can honestly rule out assassination now. Whatever the Prime Minister's game is, killing him would only make him a martyr to the rebellion, and the power vacuum would be too unwieldy to control. Obliterating his reputation, however...

Obliterating his reputation with the right people. The powerful and the older generations.

[ Just by logical deduction, the people likely to be on the side of the establishment. ]

Of course! It's not like he has much of a reputation with the people we're trying to help, anyway...

He probably has more than he deserves. People can be funny like that.

[ Get attached to the status quo. Choose priorities that'll only come back to bite them in the end. ]

But they're having trouble getting any say in anywhere, so that's far more of a priority.
