[ While the jailbreak ends and everyone goes back to their lives as fugitives, three (four, including another one on another important mission) gods have put it upon themselves to have a kidnapping. There's the familiar face of Michel, placed unceremoniously upright on a stump, a paper bag over his head supporting a cheesy looking inked smiley. Loki, stepping back like she's adjusting a camera, waves a hand toward him in a long, lackadaisical motion. Let no one say that Loki didn't have a flair for dramatics. ]

We've got it in the bag, or so the mortals say. Ah—shall we do introductions?

Everyone! I present the leader of the Order of the Chimera himself, Mister Michel, straight from the slammer. With circumstances as they are, we thought it best that he didn't make a further mess of things. On the more unfortunate side, that makes all of us super double traitors, both to the crown and the Order ... [ jazz hands!!! ] To the least, the history books will name us resourceful ones. ... you know, if they don't erase of us entirely. It has to be something about the job description ...

[ She's not alone, both Thor and Ahad stand behind her, the darkly cloaked Thunderer with his arms folded and Ahad fingering a cigarillo. Loki straightens the lapels of her jacket and gives a long glance back at the two of them. ]

He's been kind of enough to answer a few of our questions, but it's been—ah, less than enlightening.

[ Which is when Thor move forward, arms loosening though his gaze remains hard on Michel. Or at least, his paper bag. ]

He speaks of his gods as if in conference with them. If they find the schism between peoples here unnatural then have them present a solution that is not blotting out the sun and throwing the realm under their care into chaos. [ A growl rumbles in the back of his throat as he paces to one side. ] He could not send a message, as he said, unless he were first a messenger. I would meet with these gods, if they live elsewhere than his excuses.

[ And likely demand they guide their people if things are so dire. Or introduce their faces to Mjolnir, at this rate, instead of letting one of a pair of brothers lapse into magic-fueled madness … not that Thor is personally touched by any of this, no. ]

[ Meanwhile, Ahad simply sighs, remaining in his position in the background. There's one further practical consideration, which he means to address. ]

[ The smile she gives in response to Ahad's 'pleasure' is one that says her only regret was not being there. ]

'Not much of use' seems to be the operative word in our findings so far. I hope you are correct.

[ Just one thing, though-- ]

As do I. If nothing else, we may learn more than we ever wanted to know about his cause.

[ That gets a sigh out of him. ] It is enchanted. The drawing is entirely Loki's.

[ She laughs at his sigh. ] I had guessed it to be Loki's handiwork, yes. But enchanted for what purpose...?

[dailydouble]

That depends entirely on the situation, but you are likely correct in this case. [ Not every fanatic matters, but the dangerous ones often force themselves on the scene. ]

To keep him from using his magic against us.

[ Ignorance can be bliss. In fact, Kida's finding out first-hand how true that is, as each new discovery puts the suffering of her people into sharper focus.

But she's tired of ignorance. She's tired of not knowing, not understanding. ]

We are lucky to have you both, then. I would not have been able to snare him like this. What of the brother?

The brother is safe, at the moment. I do not know his location. [ For reasons of security, really. ]

[ She nods, understanding without needing to be told. ]

Is one of us with him? Michel may root him out, after this.

[dailydouble]

He is not alone.

[ Glee has him, but Ahad isn't about to let that slip without a plan. ]

Good--I only wish I were better able to aid you.

[ Sadly, Kida's about as magical as unwashed socks. ]

Everyone aids in their own way. You did organize a certain event that I will avoid naming, did you not?

[adlantisag]

[ It would probably be more apt to say she 'enabled' rather than 'organized'--that's best left to the pros, like Riza and Glee--but it's mostly semantics at this point. The comment provokes a smile, because she's pretty certain she's said the exact same thing before to someone else. ]

I carry no regrets, Ahad.

[ For better or for worse, though her tone is light in response to him. She still thinks action is the right path--which is why she's so admiring of their efforts. ]

I suppose I must leave some excitement for the others.

[ Her tone is light, mildly self-deprecating. Given the two weeks she's had--honestly, she's had enough excitement for a while, and they both know it. ]

[ He's rolling his eyes for sure at that, but it's more in a tone of sharing the joke than judging. Ahad has little to stand on when it comes to excitement. ]

This is more excitement than I usually engage in. Breaking a prisoner out instead of bribing an official? What is the world coming to?

[adlantisag]

How terrible for you, to go against type! It's true, you did not strike me as so direct...necessity breeds innovation, I suppose.

[dailydouble]

I would not call this innovation so much as returning to older, well-tried methods. Any thug can attempt a kidnapping.

[ Whether it's successful is another matter. At least they managed that. ]
