[ While the jailbreak ends and everyone goes back to their lives as fugitives, three (four, including another one on another important mission) gods have put it upon themselves to have a kidnapping. There's the familiar face of Michel, placed unceremoniously upright on a stump, a paper bag over his head supporting a cheesy looking inked smiley. Loki, stepping back like she's adjusting a camera, waves a hand toward him in a long, lackadaisical motion. Let no one say that Loki didn't have a flair for dramatics. ]

We've got it in the bag, or so the mortals say. Ah—shall we do introductions?

Everyone! I present the leader of the Order of the Chimera himself, Mister Michel, straight from the slammer. With circumstances as they are, we thought it best that he didn't make a further mess of things. On the more unfortunate side, that makes all of us super double traitors, both to the crown and the Order ... [ jazz hands!!! ] To the least, the history books will name us resourceful ones. ... you know, if they don't erase of us entirely. It has to be something about the job description ...

[ She's not alone, both Thor and Ahad stand behind her, the darkly cloaked Thunderer with his arms folded and Ahad fingering a cigarillo. Loki straightens the lapels of her jacket and gives a long glance back at the two of them. ]

He's been kind of enough to answer a few of our questions, but it's been—ah, less than enlightening.

[ Which is when Thor move forward, arms loosening though his gaze remains hard on Michel. Or at least, his paper bag. ]

He speaks of his gods as if in conference with them. If they find the schism between peoples here unnatural then have them present a solution that is not blotting out the sun and throwing the realm under their care into chaos. [ A growl rumbles in the back of his throat as he paces to one side. ] He could not send a message, as he said, unless he were first a messenger. I would meet with these gods, if they live elsewhere than his excuses.

[ And likely demand they guide their people if things are so dire. Or introduce their faces to Mjolnir, at this rate, instead of letting one of a pair of brothers lapse into magic-fueled madness … not that Thor is personally touched by any of this, no. ]

[ Meanwhile, Ahad simply sighs, remaining in his position in the background. There's one further practical consideration, which he means to address. ]

[it makes no sense. none of it makes any sense.]

That really doesn't tell me anything. It could be a simple illusion, it may be an actual astronomical event, there are too many possibilities.

I know of no astronomical event that would block the sun for so long and yet allow mortals to continue living on this planet.

[ Illusion isn't a bad suggestion, however. ]

It does appear that life hasn't been so affected it's all stopped. In your time here, have you noticed no disastrous impact on the animals or vegetation?

Not yet, but we have not been here long.

[ Even if a month or so should be more than long enough to notice that sort of impact. ]

So you've been here longer? You aren't one of the newer recruits, are you? I just joined up with ALASTAIR... Well, I suppose if you could call it "joining up", to begin with.

No, I came with the first wave of recruits. I consider it more forced labor than "joining up".

[ One thing Ahad doesn't do is pretty it up by calling it what it's not. ]

Tell me about it. We're basically doing all of ALASTAIR's work for them, and the only thing they do is send out inane gifts to mollify us.

[they'll never earn her appreciation like that! rin leans back into the couch she's resting on, suddenly irritated—at alastair.]

Be that as it may, I'd like to at least introduce myself. My name is Rin Tohsaka. You and Loki have done well.

We do try. [ He's a bit amused at being told he's done well, but he'll let it pass. ]

I go by Ahad. No matter what this thing identifies me as.

[ His username is still Beloved. It might be better not to ask. ]

Ahad. It's nice to meet you. You aren't—a god like your two friends there, are you?

[it would be some coincidence, but it's just weird enough of a suggestion to work.]

[ Except he's nodding, in response to her question. ]

I am a god, but not entirely like Loki and Thor. Different worlds and events created me.

[go figures. rin shakes her head, but it isn't rude, only briefly amazed.]

That really is fascinating. ALASTAIR likes to think it's big enough to tell gods what to do.

It's not as if I'm thrilled about it.

[ There's more than a hint of bitterness to his tone. ]

... Of course. [she tries to sympathize.] May I ask what sort of god you are?

[dailydouble]

[ He'll pause for a moment, looking somewhere between put upon and resigned. ]

We call it our nature. Mine has to do with love and intimacy.

[defenceless]

[it must be a frustrating question to hear over and over. rin keeps it short.]

Ah, so you're a deity of those types of things. I hope you don't have to take responsibility for anyone here. I'd expect my fellow recruits wouldn't be trying to fall in love, but I doubt I can trust all of them.

[lbr, some of them don't inspire much hope]

[ Now that gets an open eye-roll. ]

Mortals fall in love well enough on their own. I want nothing to do with it.

[defenceless]

Huh, I guess that's true.

[so maybe he's not like aphrodite, or anything, sparking love between misguided souls.]

I won't take up any more of your time, Ahad. Thanks for speaking with me so far. I know it's troublesome with Michel, but I'm a magus, and like I told Loki—I'm willing to contribute anything I can to help the cause.

I'll be searching for mixed individuals who aren't part of the Order in the services of inspiring peace, though I realize that's not exactly relevant to the Michel situation.
