"Bring peace to Chantes, and restore the sun."

I've seen and heard a lot of talk over how we're meant to accomplish this task.

To those of you who are new and those who have been here from the start, I'm curious- ideally, how would you like to see such a goal accomplished?

I'm not sure how to stop the fighting besides trying to support them to talk to each other about why they are disagreeing like this. And the sun...I'm not sure either. I have the 'Light' Card, but I don't know if that would be strong enough to do something like restoring the sun.

We aren't in the best position to arrange such talks, at the moment.

What is this 'Light' Card generally capable of?

I guess not. I don't think that with the prison really helps them want to talk just now.

But last time when I first sealed that and the Dark card, they made the auditorium we were doing our play in really dark, and then the Light card made the lights come back on like normal again. I'm not sure if it would work on a scale as something like bringing back the sun or the night. I could try, but it's hard to say if it's powerful enough.

You might attempt it, but without knowing more about what was done in the first place, I wouldn't advise it.

Right! There was that 'Arthur-san' that used Riza-san's jewelry before, to help us plan in getting everyone out of the prison. He said his brother did it? I'm not sure if he mentioned the details though. If we knew how it happened in the first place, we might be able to figure a way to reverse it.

He may know how it was done.

His brother, Michel, was indeed the one responsible, and to my knowledge, he was captured by a handful of our own. They've been questioning him regarding his actions and the magic he used so perhaps that will give us a starting point.

Maybe. It's somewhere to start, at least. If anyone would know how it happened, it would be him, right? So we just need to wait and see what he says. If that might help give us a better idea on how to fix this. Or if he can himself.

Based on what was said, he hasn't been especially forthcoming thus far.

If he isn't willing to impart what he knows, perhaps Arthur will.

I don't see why we couldn't ask both of them and see what each know. I'm not sure if he might know more than Arthur-san though.

We have easier access to Michel, at the moment.

There may be others in contact with Arthur, but I haven't heard of it.

[keystaff]

I'm sure if others are talking to Arthur-san, they'll let us know when they can. When they have any more information. For now, at least, there is Michel-san to possibly get some answers from. I'm just glad we managed to help get him and everyone else free.

We managed with a low number of casualties this time, yes.

It may not be the case next time.

But even so. We have to try our best! There shouldn't be any casualties; our mission is to stop the fighting.

There will always be casualties.

It is impossible to save every last person.

Maybe. But I am still going to try.

Those ideals of yours aren't likely to last.

Maybe they won't. But I have to try and hope they will. I've managed with them so far. Even with everything back home. So. There's no reason this won't be the same. Whatever happens. I'm sure it'll be alright.

Ideals do not save people.

If you have no blood on your hands already, you will before your time with ALASTAIR is over.

I've been in fights before. But I haven't killed anyone. And I don't intend to with ALASTAIR either. Because there has to be other ways.

In an ideal world, perhaps.

Blood has already been shed. Even if you refuse to sully your own hands, it will happen regardless.

[keystaff]

I know.

Even if I don't, others will. But that doesn't mean I can't make some difference. Can't try to help, even in other ways. Like my healing.

You would do well to separate yourself from the battlefield.

Yes.

Maybe. But I've had people support me when I have gone to help. So I'm not alone. And with healing, I can help in other ways now, possibly. That I couldn't before.
