"Bring peace to Chantes, and restore the sun."
I've seen and heard a lot of talk over how we're meant to accomplish this task.
To those of you who are new and those who have been here from the start, I'm curious- ideally, how would you like to see such a goal accomplished?

You believe there is good in the world even though true peace is an ideal that can never be achieved?

There always will be a mess to clean up, 'butterfly'. That is what it means to be a 'cleaner' employed by powers such as ALASTAIR.
If my acceptance of that fact makes me 'the worst of people', I certainly won't deny it.

That's not your responsibility, neither is it anyone else's. Yes, the idealism of peace and restoration is a naive one. However, that doesn't mean there is not even the slightest bit of goodness in others. You have to make it if it can't be found.

I do not need to be lectured on human nature, either. But it is a path I intend to make -- make it different where it is not. Otherwise, it's another path to insanity to continuously think like that. Perhaps you ought to consider that, too. Or, you can continue wrapping yourself in that shell of yours in denial, whichever is easier for you. I won't abide by any delusions of "good" or "bad". Nothing is binary.

He knew the world was an ugly place, but he wanted a result where everyone was happy. He strove for it, worked for it, achieved a miracle where none would have been possible --
Perhaps her way of pursuing good is more balanced than his ever was. Perhaps she can do it in a way that will actually see results.
Either way, he sees nothing beautiful in that line of thinking she proposes. ]
Pursue your own path, Alice. Let it speak for you in the days to come.
Hypocrisy has never saved anyone.

However, hypocrisy, at this point I feel, should be the least of your concerns. Do as you please, but try not to make a mess.
