[With one hand stretched out and the other holding onto something mounted over his shoulder, Ban popped in on his own post. He looked somewhat dizzy, throwing himself to the side very suddenly. Landing on his feet, Ban looked as if he had just rolled off of the side of a horse--one belonging to an unconscious Masamune Date. Ban shifted the load on his shoulder before tossing him over the back of the horse. At that point, one would be able to see his face in the midst of being knocked out, slumped over the horse.
He looked as if he had been tossed in the dirt--which was pretty much what happened.]
Hey. [Ban gave Masamune's cheek a little smack. He gave him another one. He even settled for pinching his nose shut for a little. Nothing happened.]
Need some heeeelp~. I gave him a pat on the back and he got knocked out.
[Then, Ban lifted a bottle of liquor to his lips--one that apparently came out of nowhere--drinking it back for a few moments before returning to what he was saying.]
Someone wanna take a look at him? There's gotta be somebody who likes this guy~. So, hurry up before I start tryin' to treat him.

Someone wanna take a look at him? There's gotta be somebody who likes this guy~. So, hurry up before I start tryin' to treat him.

His back is not broken, is it...?
no subject
Nope.
no subject
[ Aaaand relaxed again. ]
If he is merely unconscious, [ 'merely' unconscious Kida pls ] I can come and help him, if you would like. I am sorry your, ah, attempt at friendliness ended so poorly, Ban.
no subject
Friendliness~? Nah, I was gonna ask him to fight me~.
[He continued pinching Masamune.]
I've been bored as hell.
no subject
[ Masamune is incredibly belligerent--it's probably his worst flaw, accompanied by 'not knowing his own limits'. ]
Cease pinching him so, yes? He will wake when he will wake. Have you not been keeping busy?
no subject
Sadly, Masamune was human, and that always made things difficult for Ban.]
Busy? Well, I was just drinkin' and playing games, tonight.
[So, no, he wasn't keeping busy.]
no subject
'Games'?
no subject
Funny enough, it was also the look she wore when she didn't understand something. Ban figured they were both feelings that came from the same place.]
I really hope you know what a game is, Princess~. That'd be a little too weird even for youuuu ♪.

[ She's imagining drinking games--actually, she isn't sure what she imagines. He just doesn't strike her as a playful person. Fun-loving, sure, and definitely mischievous, but she has a hard time seeing him bowed over game pieces, somehow. ]
no subject
[One hand raised--Ban sharply slapped the table beneath himself.
There was a crash as he simply annihilated it.]
...Oops ♪. My baaaaad.
[One of the barmaids screamed, yelling at him.]
He's broken another one!
no subject
It's a wonder you have not yet been kicked out!
[ Through the feed, she looks at the ruined table. ]
I would arm-wrestle with you...if I could. [ But they both know how outmatched she is. ] What do you gamble on? In Atlantis I played dice with my warriors over catch counts.
no subject
Kida was a little different to have fun with, if only because their cultures were so far apart. He'd have to think about comparisons he could make with what he knew about her--which were a few too many.]
Diiiice~? [A goblin could be seen just aside from Ban hefting up a hammer and nails to repair the damage. Ban slapped a few coins on the broken table out of reflex, as if it had happened a number of times.
She did say again, after all.]
Dice is pretty common, but good ones are expensive to come by. [He leaned back in his chair, struggling to be comfortable. It was a pain living in a playhouse as a Globetrotter.]
I like cards a little moooore~. I got banned from playin' horse shoes too, but it's one a' my favorites.
no subject
[ She can read her numbers, at least, but Atlantean numerals aren't difficult to figure out. Gosh, now she's craving crab. ]
'Cards' is...the papers, with the images on them? I have seen goblins playing it, and humans at the tavern.
no subject
He could go with 'It isn't stone--it's probably bone', but it wouldn't likely give Kida any inclination to touch any at that rate. It would sully the fun.
Ban had seen glass dice before, but they were rare and ridiculously expensive.]
The cards're just as expensive, unless you're patient enough to make your own deck. Course--there's a lot more than one game you could play with 'em. They might be the best investment you could make to avoid goin' nuts from boredom.
no subject
Do you have a deck?
no subject
[Of course, Ban raided closets and the kitchen instead of the game rooms.
It was a short-sighted error on his part.]
Couuuurse, I was just talkin' to a friend about gettin' a deck.
no subject
[ Not 'if', because if anyone knows how he operates by now... ]
--you should teach me to play.
no subject
[Plus, there was the added bonus that--]
I already said I'd treat my buddy and teach him some games, so that's faaaair.
no subject
[ There's a clicking noise on Kida's end before a giant catlike head appears in the feed, yellow eyes blinking. Ninat makes more soft crooning clicks and watches Ban carefully, even as Kida wraps an arm around her massive crested neck. ]
no subject
He's a cool skeleton named Papyrus.
[It was a flat answer, but then--Ban was staring down a new, weird animal.]
Who's yours?
no subject
[ Ninat blinks owlishly at Ban, then opens her jaw--what comes out is a strange clicking, almost like a dolphin. ]
She says hello. [ Sure she does, Kida. ] Your friend is...a skeleton?
[ Hadn't she seen a skeleton on the network, recently...? ]
no subject
[He seriously didn't understand that first part.
Was Kida sneezing...?]
Looks like a cool seadog to me~.
[That said--]
But, yes, he's a skeleton. A talking skeleton, too~. Weird, ain't it?
no subject
I--yes. How does...
[ 'that work', she almost finishes, only to guess instead: ] Is he magic?
no subject
'Cause, there just ain't other explanation for it.
[That was really all there was to it. Papyrus was just a cool skeleton.]
Not that it matters~. He's way better than most people, so it doesn't matter what he is.
no subject
He has made a good impression, I see. How did you meet?
