This is Detective Sebastian Castellanos. Most of you, I haven't met yet. But that's part of the problem...

So, let me get this straight. The literal sun is missing, there's half a foot of snow on the ground, but somehow no one's frozen to death yet. We have no real direction, no real idea who we're taking orders from, but we still have time to stop and celebrate the holidays.

Do we even know how many people we have here? According to what I've been told, recruits come and go all the time with no real records being kept.

What the fuck are we even doing here?

Hey detective. You've got a point here. Without light, a planet should last less than a day. Of course, it would take a while for the plant life to die and anyone that was holed up in a warm place might last a little longer but you're still right.

I've been looking into it and can't figure out a thing, really.

I wish I had something. The only thing I do have is some kind of book. I'm trying to get some fingerprints off of it so I can see who owned it previously.

Getting fingerprints is a pretty basic process. It's matching them that's technologically intensive. Without a database to run them through, it's a bit worthless. As for this book, all I know is that it came from a castle. I really have to question the guy who gave it to me more.

But he seemed rather on edge about it.

If you're asking me, I don't really have an answer. I've barely been here all that long.

If we don't know their criteria, it gets hard to tell who they want to keep and who ends up leaving.
