[Alright, so maybe she's a little late with it being the 1st and all, but Ranmaru is on the video feed in a seasonally appropriate version of her usual outfit; instead of her hat, it's a santa hat, and instead of her jacket, it's a santa jacket - only it's worn the same way she wears her usual one, unbuttoned.

And...that's a fairly large sack she's holding over her shoulder, appropriately red to match her outfit. At least she's more relaxed with this one since it wasn't the result of some dumb curse.]

Yooooo! Little late for this I guess, but you all got one last gift to get for Christmas, courtesy of Old Saint Nick himself. Santa-san's real sorry they couldn't do it themselves but...y'know, long trip back home and all. So I'll be playing Santa's helper this year.

[She waves a hand, dismissively; don't think too hard about this.]

Anyway...apparently some real thoughtful person on our team asked Santa-san for something to lift the old collective spirit, soo...

[She puts the sack down, and from within it pulls out...this]

Isn't it cute? This is mine, so don't ask for it. But they're really warm and cozy too; great for the cold if that kinda thing gets to you. Cold never bothered me, anyway.

Anyway, if you wanna grab yours, just come on down to the city square. ...although if that's a problem for anyone, lemme know. I'll have it sent your way somehow.

[She sounds like she's thinking it over.

She isn't, really.]

Sure, okay! If you're really gonna twist my arm, I guess I have no choice.

[She says it with a hint of playfulness, so she's not seriously saying she's being pressured here.]

Where're you holed up?

[She laughs in turn and sends off her address via communicator.]

[OFF SHE GOES TREASURE HUNTING except in a less conventional sense of the phrase.]

[And she'll be waiting outside the inn she's currently staying at. She has a cloak pulled over her head, but her gem is still visible upon a glance.

Pearl peers out across her surroundings, before she sees a familiar pink haired girl. She lifts her gloved hand, waving it high over her head.]

Over here!

[Ah! There she is...Ranmaru approaches Pearl and gives her a wave, other hand holding the sack over her shoulder firmly.]

Yo! Nice to finally meet you in person.

Yes! It's a pleasure to see you, Ranmaru. [She bows, politely before straightening up. Oh gosh, she sees her huge bag and covers her mouth, surprised.]

My goodness, you weren't kidding when you said you got one for each person on our... team.

[Was it a team? Who knew at this point. It was a melting pot, that was for sure.]

[Oh, uh--

Pearl bows, and Ranmaru realizes maybe she ought to as well...she's not an unfriendly person, but uh, manners were never her strong point even back home. But she hurriedly bows in response, one Pearl will catch just as she's rising from her own one.]

Uh, yeah! Nice to meet you in pers--I already said that.

Um.

[...]

[She clears her throat, trying to smooth that over.]

...y-yeah, well! [Patting the bag with her free hand.] I wouldn't wanna leave anyone out...unless they wanna be. Not everyone's gonna wanna wear one, probably.

[She covers her mouth to hide a small smile. That was pretty endearing. None the less, Pearl taps her chin, considering the bag for a moment.]

I'm sure Steven will love his. However, I've never worn one myself. [Then again, she never really changed her attire.]

I'll at least try it on. [Once. Maybe.]

I think you should! I got-[got peridot...to...uh. They don't like each other, now that she thinks about it, so maybe best not to say anything.] I mean...I mean I think you'd look cute, Pearl-san.

[She puts the bag down and opens it up, starting to rummage through it.]

I have a bunch of different types, so do you have any requests or will I pick one out for you?

Cute...? Oh please I'm not--

[She watches her rummage through the bag, but she shrugs with a small grin.]

You know what? Surprise me!

Alright...let's see here...

[She rummages through what's in the bag, mumbling quietly to herself in disapproval (no, no, no, definitely no, nah, nadda-) until finally she makes a small noise of approval. Ran stands up and in the process reveals an espeon themed kigurumi in all its glory.]

This! It's perfect for you.

[Pearl stares at the kigurumi with wide eyes.

Before she slowly squints, eying it up and down. It looked like some sort of... feline? Fox? Wh--]

What is it?

It's an Espeon!...um, that probably doesn't mean anything to you, does it? They're animals from this game...that also got its own tv show. It's super popular worldwide!

But, see-

[She steps over to Pearl's side and holds it in front of the two of them.]

They're like...really graceful, and elegant...and really pretty! And this- [She points at the red gem in the center of the hood.] -on the real deal, this is a gem!

[Then she looks at Pearl, smiling very sincerely.]

I think that suits you completely.

[As she describes the creature, her eyes widen and brighten, glistening almost. Her chest puffs up in pride as the creature is explained to her.

Her head turns towards Ranmaru, those wide eyes even more visible.]

You think I'm graceful, elegant, and pretty?

[Ah...the thing about being too sincere by nature is when you say stuff like this, you don't think much of it. Ranmaru just gives Pearl a fairly neutral look, wondering why she's asking her...]

...um, yeah? I can tell by the way you move you gotta lotta poise and stuff...

[...]

Is that ok?

[She bristles a little. Not mad, but. Flustered. She snatches up the article of clotging and holds it up to her chin, with both hands. As if cherishing it.]

Y-Yes, it's fine. [She says bashfully. She only ever received compliments from Steven. And well.. he's Steven! And he's known her all his life.]

Hey, no problem! Say, do you think you'd know which one Steven would want or should we let him pick for himself?

[Seems like she's moved on just fine...sorry Pearl.]

Oh yes!

[She peers at her bag and smiles.]

...hmmm. Do you have something along the lines of a lion?
