[It's the first time that Merlin's broadcasted a video of his own, normally content to just poke his nose into others. He's sitting at a table, chin propped up on his fist, the universal pose of Deep Thought.]

I've been thinking a lot lately. [And that would be the point where Arthur would inevitably have something to say about that. It feels...odd, being able to continue without interruption. And not in an entirely good way.] About the humans and the goblins, but mostly about those who found themselves caught in-between. It's difficult, living your life in secret, wondering where you fit in, if you fit in at all.

[He's getting that wounded bear face again, a long expression with sad round eyes.]

I'm not trying to excuse anything terrible that's been done. By anyone. I was only wondering if anyone else knows what it's like to feel like an outcast.

[Such a perfect person is probably one in a million, and their numbers aren't that great.]

I wouldn't envy them. But I don't think we have a lot of bad people among us, do you?

[dailydouble]

[ That sounds a bit suspicious. ] Did you have someone in mind?

Mortals will be what they always are. Good and bad are only relative.

[servant]

No. No one here, anywway.

[Though he does wonder what Arthur could've done with them. He can be an inspirational leader, as long as someone inspires him from time to time.]

[dailydouble]

Someone from your home?

[ It's phrased as a question, but it isn't really one. There's more certainty in it than a question usually has. ]

[servant]

The prince.

Though I wouldn't be so quick to say it out loud if he were here. It might go straight to his head.

[dailydouble]

In what way? Is he so unused to minor compliments that any inflate his ego?

[servant]

Oh, there are no minor compliments as far as Arthur's concerned.

[dailydouble]

Ah, but an appreciation of all? That could be either charming or irritating.

[servant]

[Merlin presses his lips together to think about it for a moment.]

Mm, annoying most of the time. Definitely annoying.

[dailydouble]

Only annoying?

[ There's something in Merlin's manner that makes Ahad think no. ]

[servant]

And...possibly a touch charming?

[Possibly.]
