It is an interesting idea... to attempt to bring about change like it will be beneficial in the long run. So many people seem to think so, but how many of them are actually right? Oh, do not take that as words of war. I have no intention of going against the will of these people. I appreciate the cold and calculated way that they think, after all.
But on another matter, a little tame dragon found itself within my beak. It would be wise for those who understand my words to keep him out of trouble. His roar has become so quiet. If no one understands, then I suppose he shall remain a pet.
Though, that is not necessarily a negative outcome for me.

[ That is the kind of man that he is. The one treasure that he may have had that is his own, does not exist anymore. ]
You protect and hold onto your treasure like a miser does. You see showing it as being too free. How does one know what we love? We show it every day. [ Another piece to gift. ] Because what good is a treasure if it is only for our eyes? There is worth in being the only one to understand and to appreciate it as it is versus how others will look upon it, yes. But there is foolishness in hiding it away from light, from eyes, from everything, because you think that makes it even more special.
It doesn't. What it does... is make it a stagnant piece that sits in the head of a [ a tilt of his own head. ] little miss that does not understand the world. The treasure is for you to break at any time. But you do not have the will within you to break it, and so... you are the one that is owned.

[She would be bothered by those words normally- as Sieglinde. But the Green Witch is not.]
I am disappointed, Sir Owl.

I believe any treasure that I own is for me to destroy. That is important to me, because I will not allow anyone else to have them. But I will let them see and admire what it is mine to burn. You would rather keep your treasure to yourself and hide it away so that it is always safe. But eventually, all things rot and decay. You, little miss, will rot and decay. Your treasure may carry on, but as you say, you are the only one who ever understands it. Do you have it in you to destroy what you love? Do you have it in you to let others see what you love? For in their knowing, they see you.
So, if my view is narrow, I apologize for disappointing.

Without knowing what mine is, you cannot judge me miserly for keeping it locked away. In fact, some treasures are meant for the fate you speak of. It will rot and decay as all things in this world eventually do- as will you and I. Whether body, mind, or treasure goes first, well.
That is another matter entirely.

You are correct in what you said earlier. You are different from a virgin and a deviant. Such things are meant for adults who walk in the world.
The Green Witch is a child. I may not know what your treasure is, but the idea of destruction is not another matter entirely. You cannot understand my thinking, I am certain. A child will keep her shiny marbles or whatever it is that she has safe. I am certain that will make you very happy.
But until you walk in the world, truly walk in it, you will always be a child with shiny bits of glass.

It seems we won't understand each other after all- I shall not be surprised. Expecting such of every recruit ALASTAIR brings here would be foolish. I also won't be surprised that those older than me continue to use the word "child" when they do not wish to continue thinking.
It's an easy out, I can't say I don't understand the appeal.
Do enjoy your attempts on the wurm. It will likely prove interesting in one way or another.
no subject
You consider it an easy out that you can look how you do and think you see outside of yourself. You do not. You are trapped in another box that your appearance has granted you, and for that... I find a moment's pity. [ his eyes roll up. ] That has now passed.
The wurm is caged. All I am is what will drive it mad within its bars. We'll see which one will prevail. That which tamed versus that which reminds it what it is.
no subject
[It's her turn to scoff, waving a hand. It may be an act, it may not be- to her credit, it's difficult to tell.]
We are all caged. Last I checked no winged beast does well in that situation, let alone on its own, so do mind your own self as well. You certainly won't make many allies at this rate.
no subject
I do not want any allies, and so it seems my efforts will go well in my favor. I need not those who huddle together in this cage and forget what it is to fly. I shall be watching... little child with your colored glass. Huddle close to the dragon, if you know him. You shall... he will make the most broken sounds soon.
Truly... that is a treasure in and of itself that I would not want to miss.

[But her expression hardens, and not for the repeated condemnations of "child" she has grown to hate so much.]
Do not mistake me. You will not find me at the side of a man such as that, and you can summon no worry from me with such words.
no subject
[ a soft laugh. ]
Good. Think only of yourself, little miss. That is the best way to live. Live selfishly and cruel. That will help you to become an adult.

[And discarded. But noted nonetheless.]

To be an adult, what an interesting idea. I am feeling charitable these days. Very charitable. Perhaps I should devote some time to educating the youths here.
It shall cut through the time I shall spent watching the dragon destroy itself in attempting to deal with me. Why do I say and speak on a man you know not? Because it is on my mind.
But I digress. This owl has some thinking to do about the soft children this organization has created. Soft children that think because they are caged that they understand how the world is and where their limitations are. No timeline can be changed for better or worse with this sort of group. Troubling, little miss. Very troubling, indeed.
Well, then. [ and he is pretty much done babaling to himself. ]
