[Okay. This isn't hard. He's stuck here... and... there's no real way back so the best option is to work with this ALASTAIR ... clan? Clan. In order to fix issues in different places...
... and this ear cuff will let him talk to people but he has no idea how. Jewelry doesn't let you talk to people?? Talking to people lets you talk to people??
Carefully and very tentatively, like he's worried the communicator is about to leap out at him and grab him, Yukimura sets the little ear cuff communicator on the ground in front of him and crouches down in so he's eye level with it. Enjoy the overabundance of red.]
...
[He takes a deep breath. He was told he could talk to people, but he can't see anyone so... he'll have to speak loudly so he can be heard.
Brace yourself, Futurology.]
HELLO?
[... Nothing.]
HELLO, ARE YOU ABLE TO HEAR ME THROUGH THIS PIECE OF JEWELRY?
[Still nothing?? This is concerning him. Is he alone here, other than the man who had spoken to him when he first arrived? What should he do in this situation? Begin a scouting mission to search out any signs of life? Or should he continue shouting through this piece of jewelry he doesn't really believe is doing what he was told it would do.
...
Option B it is.]
I AM WORRIED THAT THIS JEWELRY IS NOT DOING WHAT I WAS TOLD IT WOULD, AND THAT I WILL FIND MYSELF AT A COMMUNICATION DISADVANTAGE IF THIS DOES NOT WORK. CAN ANYONE HEAR ME? [He reaches out and taps on the side of the cuff, shaking the image rather violently.] ANYBODY?
[TAP. TAP. TAP.
BEEP.]
... [He leans forwards, almost conspiratorially and whispers....] Hello?
[... Someone help this poor, unsuspecting loser out. Please. For the sake of your eardrums if nothing else.]

For a land without war.
[That is, essentially, his lord's goal as well. The only way he knows to achieve this would be to fight alongside his lord until the Takeda clan could stand proudly over a Japan that lived peacefully, not one wrecked by clan squabbles and never ending violence.
When looking to the future, Masamune had said, even injustices become just. For now, the fighting was necessary so that peace could someday rule over Japan.]
Though it may be far off, it will be achieved someday.

[And Gilgamesh could rip it apart, that sort of ridiculous ideology. Spit on it, tell him he's worthless for imagining such a land that could never be, tell him he's naive for thinking that humans will do anything but war amongst themselves when left to their own devices...
But for now, all Yukimura will get is a middling I see before Gilgamesh moves onto something else.]
I suppose I also owe you a name. I am called Gilgamesh; I am like an emperor in that I was the first king in mankind's history. It is simply in my nature to introduce myself that way, because it is that title that defines me. Rule is inherent to my position and all that I say and do.
[The killer: Gilgamesh flashes a gentle smile, handsome enough to slay any maiden. Or even a tempered swordsman.]
I look forward to working with you, Yukimura. I can tell already you're quite the talent.
no subject
... Well, he can see this man has a healthy ego. Handsome, gentle smile aside, that's a little bit overwhelming.
He blinks, but does, eventually, offer up a polite bow.]
It is a pleasure [??? Maybe?] to meet you, Sir Gilgamesh.
[... He can't quite bring himself to call him "Lord".]

[Usually, Gilgamesh did, but forcing it down the young man's throat won't get him to accept it any faster. No, this cub will take some careful work and pampering before he becomes anything like obedient... which was fine, because Gilgamesh always looked forward to a challenge.
Although, even if it's a pleasant smile, it's still ultimately red-eyed devil staring back at him.]
Do keep Masamune in line, if you can. All the more so if you're rivals; I'd expect some healthy competition between you two.

[A king implies leadership, and while that may be true for Gilgamesh, Yukimura doesn't know how he is as ruler, where he ruled or much about him as a person, other than that Masamune doesn't seem to be especially fond of him.
At the end of the day, he's going to trust Masamune's opinion more than the edged smile and cleverly chosen words of a stranger.]
Our rivalry is fine without input from outsiders, thank you. [Seriously. That's probably the one major thing he won't accept advice or criticism on. How he and Masamune interact and act as rivals is wholly theirs to judge and control.]

[An edged smile and a slightly edged warning, ever so subtle, that Yukimura won't be free of him yet. Or ever. This one... this one was already seeming not quite as reasonable as Masamune. Or at least not quite as pliable. Wilder and lacking an air of maturity. Those were generally harder to tame.
To think he'd ever refer to Masamune as mature. These samurai were an awfully spirited bunch, though Gilgamesh wouldn't have his men any other way.]
For now, I shall look forward to witnessing your prowess for myself. You are, after all, a Hero of legendary renown.
[Supposedly. But even Gilgamesh knows little beyond that.]
no subject
We are both working with ALASTAIR, so I am sure we will.
[It's a little like... he's looking at a well known piece of artwork but something's very slightly off about it. Gilgamesh seems perfectly fine to speak with, if a little intense with an ego that expands far beyond the boundaries of being polite. But there's something that's just off, and probably dangerous there, but he just can't pinpoint exactly what it is.
Maybe it's the unhinged, red eyed stare, Yukimura?... ...
[Wait.]
A hero? [What.]
no subject
[This is bait, Yukimura. Don't go for it twice in a row!]
no subject
It is fine!!
What will happen in the future will happen, and for me is unwritten. I would rather face it wholeheartedly with no prior knowledge, thank you.
no subject
Very well. Some other time, when you are good and ready to hear of your legacy.
no subject
I fear knowing more of what I will or will not achieve could be crushing knowledge. [Or could cause him to get a big head and inflated ego and that doesn't sound good either! What if he turns out like you, Gil?]
no subject
Yet surely you are strong enough to endure.
i.... thought i had responded to this dkdkfh
[No doubt in that voice.]
But pre-conceived notions could still overwhelm a person whether or not they endure; or cause them to become complacent. Neither are options I wish to consider.
