Okay, seriously, is this for real?
[ Hello there, fellow recruits! Today, the network brings you a fascinating video of... a hand. A hand that is waving, though less in a hello-how-are-you way and more in a I-am-so-done-with-everything way.
The hand pulls back, though, revealing an arm clad in green-grey plaid shirt (don't knock the plaid, okay, the plaid is eternal)... and eventually, the face of a teenager. Who is currently making the most judging face you will ever see in your life. ]
What kind of bomb needs fish hearts and sea urchins? It's like someone just threw together a list for the most random and incidentally dangerous things they could think of. And do you even need these anymore? Is the bomb a thing? I mean, the briefing I got was... uh, let's just say hurried. [ More like non-existent, but, yeah.
Stiles pauses, like something has just occurred to him. ]
... Right, probably should've started with that. The "hi weird jewel amulet I literally just got here and have no idea about anything" thing. And also the "I really hope someone actually sees this and I'm not sitting here and talking to a piece of jewelry" thing. Does this work? Is this working?
[ He leans in and pokes the jewel. ] For my own peace of mind, I'm saying it's working. I mean, magic jewels is, like, the least weird thing about all of this. [ Wish he'd shut up yet? Sorry, you are currently subjected to the Talkamus Stilinskimus, a very un-rare case of rambling that occurs whenever Stiles so much as opens his mouth.
Your wish is about to be fulfilled, though, as he claps his hands together. ]
Anyway! Go... team? [ ... such eloquence. But in his defense, no one ever told him talking to invisible people you don't even know actually exist would be this awkward.
That is the last sight of him anyone on the network sees, though his voice still follows, almost like he can't stop the think-at-the-jewel-and-it-will-broadcast quickly enough. ]

I mean- [ cough ] -when we're done here, do we go back to Oska and then to a new place or are we just sent from here straight to wherever they decide needs fixing next?

[ But, he'd rather investigate - explore, and check out the situation, though cautiously. It's reckless to just rush into the unknown. Though, that never quite stopped him before far too much, either. ]
Well, that's the safest thing to do, anyways. This is still an area that we don't know much about.

[ There has to be something to be found, some information, anything at all. Whatever it is, he will investigate and find it. Something that helps with the whole situation... something that might help them to get the hell out of here. ]

[ There's a beat on Mikleo's end when he speaks about werewolves, eyes widening mildly. He's not unfamiliar with werewolves, but only in regards to monsters back at home. ]
Werewolves exist in your world?
[ Though, anything is possible in this situation. He wouldn't be surprised if the monsters in his world were different than the ones he's used to... ]
Being able to deal with that alone is already impressive.

... yeah? [ Okay, so this guy isn't totally freaking out about this, which means he has some familiarity with the supernatural. His assumption though... ]
I mean, I should clarify only half of them are murderous assholes.

Then, their reputation proceeds them in other worlds. Though, I have a feeling that the ones in your world are different from my own.

Probably. I'm getting this idea that a lot of places we come from are gonna be just enough different that it's annoying and confusing all at once. [ He sighs. ] I'm guessing your werewolves just, you know, bite and maul and kill?

Still, Mikleo thinks it's far more fascinating than it is annoying. It's surprising and confusing sometimes, but he never dislikes learning about new worlds. ]
You'll get used to it. Or, hopefully you won't be doing this long enough to get used to it.
[ ... Were werewolves in his world really just monsters? ]
No, they weren't just monsters. There were dangerous beings in my world called hellions - werewolves were just one kind of hellion. From what you say, it sounds as though you have more experience with them than I do.

[ Said with complete seriousness, for once; he really, really hopes he could just go back after this whole Nalawi thing... not that he's holding his breath, though. His hopes never really seem to actualize. ]
Hellions. So... like dangerous supernatural things? Beings from Hell? [ He's probably more curious about this than he should be. ]
They're not exactly that where I come from. And you could say that. [ His best friend is a werewolf, of course he has experience with them. Not that he's saying that out loud, though -- if Scott ever falls through the same rift, he'll let him do the explaining, deciding whether to tell people about himself or not; he'll keep his secret for now. ]

I see. In that case, you have my condolences. [ And, it's a relief that he's been able to survive encounters with werewolves. ]

... no, you know what? [ Those condolences -- it's just too much. He won't take someone sympathizing with him for knowing his best friend. Even as a werewolf, Scott is still far better than anyone else he knows, anyone. And he won't have this guy assuming otherwise. ] I was not going to say anything, because then this'd get really confusing, but- dude, seriously. Werewolves aren't evil where I come from. As in, some of them are evil, yeah, just like normal humans. Some are good, some are something in-between, some are horrible. But there's... three of my friends are werewolves, okay, and they're totally fine. Not going around killing people. Only change around full moon, and they can control that.
[ A pause. ] Well, two of them can. The third's still debatable.

Yeah, that's usually a good assumption. That even the worlds you think sound similar are actually not. Dealing with this stuff, it's best not to take anything for granted. [ Oh, also, right. ] And, uh, don't worry about it.
