[The video opens up in a darkened tent somewhere in the woods. It’s the middle of the night and most everyone should be asleep at this hour. The half-man isn’t going to be sorry for waking you up. There’s one candle giving off just enough light to make out what’s going on. Ushahin is lying on his back, has his eyes closed, and is breathing deeply. Did his ring accidentally send out this message in his sleep? Then his eyes snap open, none of the usual grogginess that comes from waking up present in his face. His voice is soft but carries a tone that says he’s used to people listening to what he has to say.]
The dreams of both groups here are all so very much alike. Fear, growing tensions, and mistrust fill up their minds. Their differences are minimal when looked at from the right point-of-view.
[He rolls over so that he is lying on his stomach. The shadows from the dim lighting accentuate his ruined face. He might have been handsome at some point before some horrendous injuries happened to him. A sunken cheekbone, the other riding higher than it should, and his left temple caved in are just the most noticeable. It gives him an unsettling appearance.]
To walk their dreams tonight has become tiresome. You all, on the other hand, are a fascinating bunch. I have seen much I don’t understand. These worlds you come from have many differences from my own. So let us speak of them this night. Tell me something that sets your world apart and I shall do the same.

Can you tell me what you've heard through speaking with the people here? I'll tell you a little about my world in return. [Harry is still figuring out where to begin. He knows he can talk to the natives, but some of their demonstrations have made it clear that they will be very biased sources of information. So, he's waiting and trying to figure out where to strike out.]

Through speaking? Very little. They are suspicious and rightly so. It is through their dreams that people reveal things that they would rather keep hidden.
[His eyes go unfocused, as if he's no longer seeing just the tent walls that surround him, but some other place and time.]
I can tell you this much. Neither men nor goblins were responsible for the sun's disappearance, though each blames the other. Whoever has done this is far beyond my gaze, which is a great feat into itself. We are facing a very powerful opponent.

In that, he knows that they can be very reliable.]
The question we should be asking is who might be an opponent to both, or who would benefit. They should know that. [Unless it's ALASTAIR. The thought creeps into his mind, but he knows that it's likely because of what happened with the wyrmlings. It might be unfair to suspect their involvement.]

Thoughts that twine together but do not always touch. I've never met two so in tandem with one another.

[ from humans, goblins... it didn't matter, and if he needs to clarify he will. it's not difficult to believe something he'd already have surmised to be true (that they were alike), but the details seem of some importance.
that being said, this is admittedly strange, with nothing to be noted for the appearance of the face transmitting itself to him. while he's got no concept of this apparent ability to see into dreams, he can't doubt it considering the strange circumstances they've come together. ]

[The contempt in his voice is clear and his face hardens, his eyes darkening until the pupils seem to consume the irises. The massacre of Darkhaven is still fresh in Ushahin's mind. That was what war had brought to his homeland: nothing but a lot of death and destruction.]
Young fools, every single one. None of them have ever seen what a real war would do.

[It's either this or go back to skimming the subconscious of his teammates for the next three hours and it's getting too confusing trying to decipher things like cars and cell phones without any context.]
And what are s'mores?

Did you think the name Dreamspinner was merely a flight of fancy on my part?
[This is probably the most polite, roundabout way anyone has ever said a sentence that could summed up in a simple "Duh".]

There are three gods responsible for the creation of the universe: Nahadoth, the god of darkness and chaos, Itempas, the god of light and order, and Yeine, the goddess of twilight and dawn. Is that enough to set it apart from other worlds?

[Perfectly possible that the answer is no, he's sure - maybe everything there is just symbolism for the basic point they're already discussing. Then again, with such a large group to draw from, it's not impossible that someone's got something useful in there.
But even if he'd rather get the business of the day over with first -]
- ah, not to distract from your own question completely, of course, but business does come before pleasure.

Aside from discovering the plans of a few thieves to take advantage of the darkness to rob and plunder, I have yet to see much that is worthy of note. Both groups seem to hate the other equally. This leader of goblins, Graldia, her dreams worry me. She seems the type to destroy herself if it meant her enemies burned with her.

video;
Groups of people in conflict do tend to be more similar than they suspect, at times. Neither know the truth behind the sun's disappearance, then?
[There's a pause, before he remembers the man's request.]
As for my world, I fear I do not know what differences there may be between it and others. [At least, differences he would be willing to reveal.] Though much like this world, we have beings other than humans in my country, some of whom we have peaceful relations with, and some of whom are hostile towards all others.

[He notes the scars on Lief's face in the back of his mind with interest. He knows how he feels about people saying things about his own injuries. Instead of saying anything, he just continues on with the conversation as if there's nothing out of the ordinary.]
I am beginning to think many worlds have such beings in them, my own included.

You can see through dreams -- why do it in the first place?

Men hide their true natures from their fellows by the light of day. At night, all their secrets are exposed when they dream. That is why I look.
