Ah, hopefully I'm getting this right....I've only ever replied to others before this. But -- I think I've got it! Hey everyone. I'm Sorey. Been here a while, with some friends from home at least - Edna, Mikleo, and Dezel. Alisha too. But I'm not here to talk about them.

I was talking to Dagny -- one of the people working with ALASTAIR, when she and the Timeline were telling us what they think we should do. I don't want to have to kill anyone -- god or otherwise. But if it does come to that, we can at least prepare. Prepare the Nalawi to survive without their powers. Teach them some of the skills we know. I could teach them to hunt. To fight. Or -- they don't seem to need much if any help in that regard, but....you know. I figured if everyone has something they're good at, that we can pass on to them, it would help them a lot. If the Timeline was right. What does everyone else think? I think it's worth a try.

I have a feeling that the solution may be a little more complicated than that, but at this point, anything is worth a shot.

Course it is. We won't know until we try. I'm just hoping it doesn't take too long. I mean, even after all this time, it's still weird.

... I know what you mean. I don't think either of us will get used to it, should it take longer for us to get our powers back.

I don't want to get used to it. This isn't....[Normal? But it is. For most all other humans, being unaware of the seraphim, not able to see or hear them. Is that really the word he's looking for? Maybe not. Fair? Right? He was comparatively lucky in that regard due to his upbringing that he was able to see and hear the seraphim of Elysia. It's not them. Sorey is forever so used to turning to talk to Mikleo, to see his friend's reactions to things, to hearing those small noises of amusement or annoyance at something he said or did. Being able to reach out to put a hand on the other's shoulder. Sparring with him. Armatizing, now they had his bow and all. The warm presence of the other as he read or drifted off to sleep. The water seraph's squirming as he tickled the other's sides. But not for a while now he he felt, heard, or seen any of that. It is lonely. And Sorey doesn't like it.]

Thanks for the vote of confidence there? [It's more almost amused incredulity in his tone rather than outright offense or annoyance though. He's used to Mikleo's caution and fretting, given how often the other seraph tried to explain that Sorey was human and not as strong.]

I don't, either. That's part of why we're trying to find a way now, aren't we? [ These were words of what Mikleo can hope to be reassurance. They knew from the start that being a part of this wouldn't be easy, yet it's only gotten harder and harder for them as things have gone on. ]

Well, you've got a good head on your shoulders, at least. [ aka you're reckless, but you mean well in your actions. Still, Mikleo will do his best to look out for him. ]

Yeah. Course we are! Not just the two of us, but everyone. [They are far from the only ones impacted, even if their particular situation may be somewhat unique in the consequences of Sorey and his resonance being impacted like this.]

Sure I do. [It's always with the best of intentions. Even if Sorey does rush into things without really thinking it over first a lot.]

Help everyone, huh? I just sort expected that answer.

[ It's too bad - Sorey can't see or hear how fond he is when he says that. Maybe that's why his smile is especially soft right now. ]

You did? I guess I probably am kind of predictable sometimes, huh? [He sort of has enough grace to almost look a little sheepish at it. But not really. Sorey's always been the most comfortable with Mikleo, and of course they know each other inside and out considering they grew up together from infancy and all.

Though that smile would be especially welcomed if he could see it right now.]

Don't worry. Whether you get your resonance or not, I'll be by your side.

[ He doesn't want to give Sorey unrealistic hopes, but he can-- at least give him that. ]

The others, too. Powers may weakened, but we can grow stronger again.

But, if your resonance does come back -- there's something I want to tell you.

I know you will be. You've been with me since our powers were affected. And I'm sure we'll get them back.

[But then he pauses, head tilting slightly as he reads the rest, the next message.]

Tell me what? Ah, you can tell me later.

Just... try to be realistic here. But, I'm glad, Sorey.

[ That he can still smile like that - that he can still be optimistic about everything. ]

Glad? About what?

[Sorey himself doesn't quite Get It.]

Never mind.

Anyways, let's keep moving.
