[ Good day, recruits! Today, the network graces you with the image of a teenager, sitting in front of... a wide array of weird things. There's a pile of coconuts, some broken tree branches and some obsidian scattered around him. Stiles' expression can be best described as a determined grimace, and the brief wave he gives before starting to talk is haphazard at best. ]

Okay, so-- I don't know about you guys, but I'm definitely not going to wait around for the goddesses to get wind of what the Timeline told us to do, so I thought I'd, uh, start a self-defense... thing. In case Ryba decides she'd rather get rid of all of us before we even start thinking about getting rid of her.

[ Not that he is all that opposed to killing both Ryba and Nalanni, really; if the goddesses are gone, the world survives. If they live, the world dies. If they're sent somewhere else, who knows if the same thing happens there, too, and they just inflict this same situation on some unsuspecting planet. He has no trouble picking out the lesser evil here. ]

I wasn't around when people were building the bomb, but I heard the bomb itself was fine, even if the result wasn't. I still need some more stuff [ he gestures at the pile of things in front of him, a pile decidedly lacking some necessary ingredients ] and no clue how to get them so... I guess my point here is, those who were involved in building the bomb? Some help would be helpful.

[ It seems like that's going to be it, but then the video swims back into focus, almost like another thought has occurred to him. ] Also, before anyone gets on my case about "how can you do that we can't kill anyone", please notice how I said self-defense. That means exactly what it sounds like, I'm building these to make sure no one kills me. Or, uh, anyone else out of the recruits, actually. I mean, have you seen me? I'm not exactly goes-out-to-kill-people material. [ As in, he has literally zero knowledge in martial arts or shooting a gun or any powers whatsoever. (Nogitsune notwithstanding, he's trying very hard not to think of that.) Sarcasm is his only defense... outside of the bombs, thankyouverymuch. ]

Oh, and if anyone has a clue if these even work against divine beings, now'd be a good time to tell me. [ Loki, he's looking at you. You and everyone else god-material around here. ]

Great advice. Now if you could just, I don't know, make those magically appear? Or tell me where to get them, too. The locals don't exactly seem like the type to wear gloves.

[ And he definitely does not have those with him. He could maybe make a mask out of his sweater... ]

Sieglinde had at least one pair, though I doubt she's your size. You may have to ask around.

[ ... of course. Sieglinde, the one he just can't stop disagreeing with. Asking her to borrow her gloves that probably won't fit him anyway is... not exactly a good idea. ]

Hey, I'll manage. Think of something. A lot of people have volunteered to help [ he sounds vaguely surprised about this ], so maybe they'll have some.

If your volunteers have already handled the flowers, just let them do it again. At least this time around, they know what they're up against. They'll be prepared.

You're a regular goldmine for great ideas, you know that?

[ And that's only 60% sarcastic. ] For some reason, no one's really volunteering for that, though. I guess the hallucinations-thing is not exactly appealing.

[King brushes aside the sarcasm with practiced ease, as if he'd never heard it.]

It's not. [Sigh and bother.] Make sure to protect Sakura, Sieglinde, and Olivia with your bombs, and I'll get you your flowers.

I'll protect everyone who needs it.

[ Actual seriousness for once? Yep, as strange as the sudden shift may seem. Stiles has already talked to Sakura and Sieglinde, and though he hardly gets along with the latter, that doesn't mean he wouldn't make sure she's okay if shit goes down. Olivia... he doesn't know her, but it is as he said -- if there's people he can help not be killed by stray goddesses, he will. ]

They'll be working together to run a healing station during the battle.

[Which will make it easy enough to protect all three for the most part. King nods his acknowledgement.]

Where do you need the flowers?

-- huh, that's convenient, then.

[ It's as he thought -- they'll be easier to protect, like that. ]

I'm near the temple now, so... somewhere around here? I'm probably not moving from here for a few hours, anyway.

I'll be there shortly.

[Normally, he'd say he'll be right there, but not having his abilities has rendered him particularly slow. Give him time to wander on over.]

Awesome! I'll be here. Not moving. Hopefully not breathing in pollen. If I'm hallucinating when you get here, you know why.
