MASS TEXT; USERNAME: HAWKEYE
[In the end, she opts for the efficiency of a brief written message. (The message functionality of the jewelry still amazes her from time to time, but she's becoming increasingly fond of how fast it makes communication with others.)]
My name is Riza Hawkeye. I'm a military officer from the nation of Amestris. [Vague credentials, for anyone that really needs them.] There are a lot of us here gathered from different places and times, with different skills and areas of knowledge. I've spoken with a few others and we've agreed it would be beneficial for all of us to have a database of skills to pull from, both for this mission and otherwise.
[Most likely 'otherwise'; she can't be the only one suspicious of ALASTAIR after what happened in Anwick.]
If you're willing to provide a brief listing of the skills you possess, magical [because that's a thing that exists, apparently??] or otherwise, it would be greatly appreciated. If you're uncomfortable using the communications device I'm also happy to meet with you in person.
[And if you're not willing that's cool too. Everyone's got their secrets.]

[ there's an unpredictability to him, a possible whimsy that makes being around him a tad uneasy for those who like to predict the outcome of their meetings. he doesn't seem to be all that bothered. he's used to people distrusting him, judging him, and being wary of any and all of his intentions (though most of the time he deserves it). ]
I have a few spells up my sleeve. I could make one that mimics a grocery list, or a love note, et cetera, et cetera, but it all depends on who you'd like to make the information available to.

The explanation itself comes welcome, even if his nonchalance about the whole thing doesn't, and she lets out a soft exhale of breath as she considers the possibilities. Who would she like to make the information available to? More than just herself, that's for sure.]
I'd prefer it if more people than just myself had access. Would I need to make duplicate copies or are you able to...magic this so multiple people could read it?
[Magic is confusing, yo.]

[ it wouldn't be so difficult to enchant the paper, but he was dubious that his spell would be enough to hinder ALASTAIR. he could be tricky, surely, and it was less getting around ALASTAIR and more that he didn't know what they were capable of. his brand of sorcery could always be manipulated into the right favor—as long as he knew what that was.
he flips the paper back and forth in his hand. ]

A nod:]
That would work. Would it be a lot of work?
[Even if he had offered, she doesn't want to inconvenience him by leaps and spades.]

[ he gathers what she has on the paper, glossing over the names and committing a few more interesting ones to memory. this is why he decided to do this, wasn't it? Loki never really didn't much of anything if there wasn't anything in it for him. for his services, he got a peek at the list.
he keeps it brief and discrete. ]
So, you need to choose a password. Nothing too confusing, something you'll remember but something no one will guess. Try at least eight letters and toss in some numbers in there.

Oddly specific, but while the nuances of modern era internet security might elude her still, the military does, at least, make use of passcodes for restricted telephone numbers. A jumble of letters and numbers is easy enough to come up with, and she recites a string after a minute of deliberation.]
KFVFHBJH1909. [And then after another pause:] Will that do?

Meeed—strong, strong! All right, good. You nailed it. Now, the magic!
[ a hand slides into his jacket, producing an old fashioned wooden pencil. the nearest flat surface is all he needs, and he finds something to lean the paper on. he starts diligently, focused and with a deft hand. he scrawls runes nearest the top margin of the paper, fingers twisting organically as he forms each one. when he's finished it looks more like a picture than writing.
his fingers wave over the surface, and the runes glow a bright green briefly before fading. he hands her back the paper, if she looks at it, both sides will be blank. ]
Tah-dah!

Almost like alchemical symbols but not, only decipherable to a select few familiar with the art.
And then—they're gone, leaving behind and ordinary-looking piece of paper. She takes it back, glances at each side, then looks back at Loki.]
And all I need to do is say the passcode aloud? Or will thinking it suffice?

[ Loki confirms with a quirk of his head. ]
I don't do the telepathy thing—it goes the wrong way, gets a little bit too invasive. That just means you have to be careful, but you seem to have that down.
[ he shrugs in all of his non-concern. ]
You can lose the paper and no one should be any the wiser. It'll get destroyed, which is all well and good. You can spread the password, as it's not much without the paper.
[ there's a shake of a dark nailed finger. ]
Just don't do both. That means trouble.

Thank you for doing this. If there's ever a way I can be of assistance, let me know.
[It's not an offer she makes lightly, but he has gone out of his way in doing this for her. It seems the least she can do in return.]
