My name is Riza Hawkeye. I'm a military officer from the nation of Amestris. [Vague credentials, for anyone that really needs them.] There are a lot of us here gathered from different places and times, with different skills and areas of knowledge. I've spoken with a few others and we've agreed it would be beneficial for all of us to have a database of skills to pull from, both for this mission and otherwise.

[Most likely 'otherwise'; she can't be the only one suspicious of ALASTAIR after what happened in Anwick.]

If you're willing to provide a brief listing of the skills you possess, magical [because that's a thing that exists, apparently??] or otherwise, it would be greatly appreciated. If you're uncomfortable using the communications device I'm also happy to meet with you in person.

Nothing too extensive. I mean, I taught myself what I could.

And the most I can do is project holograms. I'm not sure how useful it would be.

They're like see through forms, a projection of an image.

I mainly use them to train or show examples. They can be helpful in that sense.

Yes, sort of. It's difficult to really explain.

Perhaps one day I should hold a demonstration on how my holograms work. And seeing as how... young some people here are, I'm sure it'll be a benefit for combat training.

[The reminder of all the youths brought here dims her expression. She sincerely hopes things won't fall so low that they'll need children on the battlefield, but if things do come to that Pearl's suggestion is prudent.]

I think that's an excellent idea. Would you be interested in leading a training session as well or would you prefer to only use your hologram abilities?

[Pearl has had experience in teaching Steven and Connie how to fight. But to take on more... students. It'd give her something to do. Something with purpose, other than being a lap dog fro ALASTAIR.]

I would love to help when and where I can. I can use a combination of what I know and the holograms. That's what I use to train with.

What kind of skills do you have Miss Hawkeye?

I trained in the military academy for several years before active service. My specialty was with guns and other firearms, but I also know close-range combat and how to operate stealth missions.

[Standard military stuff, basically.]

Did... you ever have to participate in a war?

I did.

[Though it was less a war than it was an outright slaughter.]

I'm prepared to participate in another one if necessary, but I hope it won't come to that.

I'm sure it won't.

There has to be some sort of solution to all this tension, besides war.

[Ideally there will be, but she's not willing to place all her eggs in that basket just yet.]

If we could get to the root of the conflict or have the two sides meet to come to some sort of compromise. Unfortunately I'm not sure what the royal family is thinking.
