Hello, friends! Or, if we are not already friends, we will be, soon!!

[To those who know him, this is Papyrus. To those who don't… this is Papyrus. He's a walking, talking, magic skeleton.]

I have a request! Since we are on the topic of small things that emit slime…

...Has anyone seen my brother, Sans?

[He pauses, his positive attitude sobering if only for a split second, before it returns in full force.]

I am sure he's just sleeping somewhere! Maybe in a pile of snow, and then is covered over by a new layer- that's happened before. Or… maybe he's still in Oska! I haven't seen him since the mission started, so perhaps we have just left him behind! Of course, he would be so lazy to just forget to attend the missions!!

[Papyrus goes quiet again, looking off-screen at his squidge.]

…I could really use some advice on how to take care of someone younger than me.

[ Hopefully, whatever he is, it won't be as bad as it was for her. She's confident that he'll be alive, unlike her sister. ]

Bedtime stories, toys, and puzzles are a good place to start.

[ Alice's voice becomes much more gentle. ]

I'm sure that he is alright and he may be a bit late returning back. [ Maybe that's it. ] It is scary without them the first few days, but... an older sibling will be very proud of you if you make it through. You're going to make it through this, Papyrus. It will be alright.

As did I. My father used to read me all sorts of stories, too, and those were more entertaining to me than anything else. It's a shame there's no library here, though, ones that you make up are just as good.

[ Oh, no. ]

Older siblings can be terrible like that. I may not be your brother, but I would be happy to help you in his place. [ So that he's not alone. ]

They are like infants and young children; sometimes they cry when they're uncomfortable or tired. It isn't your fault.

[ Ugh, she cannot stand to see children crying now. ] I think that may not long walks when it's very cold out. Does she have a blanket?

[ Alice makes a thoughtful noise. If it is weird, he's talking to the wrong person about this. ]

It may not be warm enough for her; you should try cradling her, when you get the chance! Oh, and keeping her swaddled, too, so that she feels safe and secure.

[ Alice pans down to her squidge, who seems oddly bright and wide-eyed, whereas Alice is usually a little deadpan and sarcastic. He seems content in her arms, bundled up as Alice explained. She picks him up and nestles against him. They're cute together, really. She's really forged a bond with him. ]

Sort of like this, perhaps?

Would there be much of a difference?

[ Skeletons can't draw much heat. Alice gives a small shake of her head. ]

It won't, you're right, but it will at least make her feel better. She must be like a normal baby, babies don't mind to be held and cuddled.

[ It sounds like he does that already. Alice smiles. ]

You aren't, you're being too hard on yourself. As long as she knows that you're there and you're making sure she stays warm, sleeps, and eats, she'll be fine.

I'm sure she appreciates it, Papyrus, it's a shame she can't tell you, herself.
