It's occurred to me that since our membership shifts and our backgrounds vary so much, it might be good to compare what we're capable of. More to the point, I was thinking we might be able to help each other pick up relevant skills, if not hone the ones we already have.

If people are looking to train or think they could help others, why don't we discuss that here? I know at least a few of us don't have backgrounds in combat, for example. On our first day here I met someone who wasn't familiar with firearms but might get good use out of the skill, for another.

In my case, I have experience training others and can help with hand-to-hand combat. I can work with people ranging from average human strength to well above it. I've got some skill with swords and knives, but I wouldn't compare that to someone who specializes in them, and that's something I'd like to work on. In terms of non-combative skills, if someone wants to work on something like cooking, I'm reasonably helpful there.

Let's see how we can help each other improve.

It's good of you to offer that! There's probably a lot of people who don't have a listening ear, or friends from home here with them.

Just don't forget to find someone to speak to, if you're feeling lonely, too.

[ she's just... glossing over... everything... from before this. it is kind of like franky and brook and sanji poured all of their inappropriate comments into one pile and that pile had a baby and that baby was asher.

but luckily that's not ALL of him, pls get it together asher-kun... there's more to you than that?? MAYBE??

[The fact that she believes in him is something.

Nami is a good person, right?
]

I know I can talk to you if I need to.

Thanks.

Good! Because I happen to be good at listening to others, too.

And remember, don't let anyone make you feel bad about what you have to offer! It's a skill just like any other.

[There she goes again, being kind with so little effort.

Perhaps it's naive of him, to see her as so wholly decent, but he does.

He's jealous.
]

You always seem to know what to say.

[She's good at encouraging, figuring things out.

When will he find it? What he's good at.

God, he hopes that time comes soon.
]

I appreciate that.
