It's occurred to me that since our membership shifts and our backgrounds vary so much, it might be good to compare what we're capable of. More to the point, I was thinking we might be able to help each other pick up relevant skills, if not hone the ones we already have.
If people are looking to train or think they could help others, why don't we discuss that here? I know at least a few of us don't have backgrounds in combat, for example. On our first day here I met someone who wasn't familiar with firearms but might get good use out of the skill, for another.
In my case, I have experience training others and can help with hand-to-hand combat. I can work with people ranging from average human strength to well above it. I've got some skill with swords and knives, but I wouldn't compare that to someone who specializes in them, and that's something I'd like to work on. In terms of non-combative skills, if someone wants to work on something like cooking, I'm reasonably helpful there.
Let's see how we can help each other improve.
[ooc: Please feel free to thread-hop/jack here, that's what this is for!]

I think so. it's a little different working with an animal horse, but I can show you the difference. I'd be happy to.
I'm Graham. it's nice to meet you.

[ like her display name, but back when she'd had to make it she wasn't thinking it was an actual handle... and if it's just in their team anyway, isn't it more of a nametag? ]
Thank you for offering to teach me how to ride. Do I need to help pay for one of the mechanical horses? I haven't been spending much, but most of what I do here is um... for room and board. I think that's the phrase?

I have rented a horse for my own means. that should suit for lessons, and you don't need to worry about securing your own. one should be more than enough. I understand that board should come first.
no subject
Um, when do you have time for these kinds of lessons?

nights seem to be the slower part of the day around Perdition's Rest, if you don't mind that. before sunset but after midday.

[ scraps from leftovers for the most part, but she does tend to consume more calories when she's working on the daily, welp. ]

likely a few days a week to start. you'll find you'll appreciate the break.
( riding any sort of horse, metal or otherwise, is going to take some getting used to. )

Mm! I'm sure I'll understand once we get started. Thank you again!
