I believe I have some information that might be of use, or at least to consider.
[The voice is low and very even, having only the barest hint of a conversational cadence.]
My companion, Shuyi, and I managed to locate and capture Miz Poppy. We captured her and two of her Deemer companions, and as we began to take them back to Perdition's Rest, she had some very interesting things to say.
She reaffirmed that there was no way to safely separate a Taraxa from its host without the destruction of the latter. What is more troubling, however, was that she insisted that hers and her compatriots' mission of destruction was something which the TIMELINE.EXE asked of them.
Before we could deliver her back here, one of the other captured Deemers sacrificed himself so that she may escape in the confusion.
It is not my intention to offer this information in order to incite mass confusion or doubt, as it is quite possible she was lying. But I do not think we can completely discount that she might be telling the truth—or that she and her fellows are somehow deluded enough to believe that they are. It is, as I originally said, something to at the very least keep in mind.

[And they didn't really seem to be interested in anything but absolute victory or absolute defeat. One had even sacrificed himself to allow Miz Poppy to escape... It was a difficult enemy to face.]
I don't believe we have any other option currently, but I will be... very curious as to what answer they might have to this, if any.

Did you get any indication where Miz Poppy would've run off to?

[Elias deals regularly with the fae, so he's cognizant of the types. Not that he enjoys doing business with them.]
Not nearly as specific as what would be useful, I'm afraid. We were returning from a camp found by a lake in the wilds. We were nearly back to camp here when she disappeared into that same wilderness. I did not see the direction.
Mm. Though perhaps I could attempt to make another totem to see if it might lead us back to her...

Somethin' like a spell?
no subject
Quite. I can cast a spell around a totem formed of local plants and some other components. They can be asked to bring you to a certain location or guide you in search of something, as long as the area you search for is native to those plants.
One of these totems led us to the camp we found her at, so... it is possible.

Sounds pretty damned useful, stranger. Got a real knack for spell casting, then?
no subject
I am unfortunately... limited with what I can do currently, considering external factors, but rituals such as the guiding totem are easier to manage.
[Anything with a process, a chant, a spell was easier—it lessened the amount of magical energy he had to use to leverage open the "door" which would allow him to change something with magic.]
Are you familiar with magic yourself?
no subject
Would you, theoretically, be able to teach a guy how a guiding totem works?
no subject
[He loves magic, okay. He's a mage. It's what he does.]
Theoretically, yes... I am unsure how certain rituals and spells transfer when there is a disparity in the origin and channel of energy. But it is a relatively simple process.
I would be very interested to see the results.

In any case, suppose we ought to focus on the Deemers and whatnot for now.

When the dust finally settles, I will be sure to reach out to you.

Name's Twisted Fate.

And I, Elias Ainsworth.
A pleasure.

Thanks for your time, Elias. I'll catch you 'round.
