I believe I have some information that might be of use, or at least to consider.
[The voice is low and very even, having only the barest hint of a conversational cadence.]
My companion, Shuyi, and I managed to locate and capture Miz Poppy. We captured her and two of her Deemer companions, and as we began to take them back to Perdition's Rest, she had some very interesting things to say.
She reaffirmed that there was no way to safely separate a Taraxa from its host without the destruction of the latter. What is more troubling, however, was that she insisted that hers and her compatriots' mission of destruction was something which the TIMELINE.EXE asked of them.
Before we could deliver her back here, one of the other captured Deemers sacrificed himself so that she may escape in the confusion.
It is not my intention to offer this information in order to incite mass confusion or doubt, as it is quite possible she was lying. But I do not think we can completely discount that she might be telling the truth—or that she and her fellows are somehow deluded enough to believe that they are. It is, as I originally said, something to at the very least keep in mind.

It is admittedly easy to throw a group into confusion when it is just as hastily put together in the first place.
[Elias isn't displeased with ALASTAIR's administrative efforts, no, of course not.]
Regardless, we will be sure to ward against undue panic. But gaining an integrated understanding of what is happening between the Timeline, ALASTAIR, and this new group will allow us to make the best decisions regarding them in the future.

[She might be in ALASTAIR's debt, but that didn't preclude her from doubts.]
If you still had custody of the woman there is a truth spell I have been meaning to test, but perhaps one of the underlings could prove equal to the task.

[Elias himself would be back home in a heartbeat—as long as he could bring Chise back as well, of course.]
Oh... it is doubly a disappointment, then, that she got away. I would have enjoyed to witness such a spell.
But if you maintain that offer, Shuyi and I did manage to return with one prisoner. So far he has refused to talk, but... well, we can always change that.

[the "timeline", the alignment of worlds that allowed them to pluck people up or return them... transfers...]
I would be willing to attempt it, at the very least. I cannot guarantee results, as it is yet untested, but I trust these methods far more than the more... physical persuasion I have seen suggested elsewhere.

Regardless of its success or failure, it will be data to inform our actions in the future.
Is there a place within Perdition's Rest you believe would be most conducive to your casting of this spell?
[Shuyi and he still haven't figured out what to do with this Deemer captive... not that he was as troublesome as the other two, now that Miz Poppy had escaped.]

Unfortunately my temporary laboratory burned down with the brothel, and I have had little time to rebuild... but anywhere with little wind and a flat surface, say ten by ten paces, would do.

Oh.
Well, if that is the chase, I will check with my companion and reply back to you with a proper location soon.

I await your word.
