Um, this is....this is working, right? I've only replied to others with this so far. Ah, I think that's it!

[Well. She guesses it is working anyway. There's a shift of movement as she gets a little more comfortable, sitting cross-legged on her bed and brushing some bangs from her face, biting her lip and taking a deep breath before starting.

I'm Sakura! I just wanted to thank everyone that's helped me here so far. I know this isn't easy and there's....a lot going on, but if we work together, we'll figure it out and get home! I'm sure of it! I heard others also got things? Some from home, or animals or something? I got a new spell. So, I wanted to let everyone know I can help if you get hurt, okay? Or, I can try. At least try help with the worst of it until we get you somewhere safe to a doctor, I mean.

[Is she rambling? Possibly. A little. But she figures the more help she can offer, the more useful she would be and this way people would know to potentially come seek her if they were injured, right? If she doesn't say anything, how are they supposed to know who might be able to assist them if they were to get hurt in more fighting or something? Not to mention finally mentioning the other magic she has available.]

Besides the Clow cards, this is one other way I can help. I want to do my best. To get all of us back home! Or....those that want to go back, anyway. I know I was in the middle of things, so. I can't be the only one. But I can't do anything about that from here, so I just have to do my best to get home and figure it.

[But. That's not why she's talking like this. Sakura shakes her head, giving a light laugh and looking almost sheepish for trailing off like that, almost apologetic.]

[As if this were some speech at school. She gives a slight bow of sorts, the motion of it swaying her necklace before she turns it off, rather flushed but pleased with herself at the same time in that last glimpse. She has been meaning to speak up with the necklace for a while and just been so busy and distracted with everything.]

I am! I don't know anything much about Gems, and I'm not sure if there would be anything in the library if I did look there. So it's great to have an expert if I have any questions. I'm not sure if I would really call myself an expert in anything....

[Athletics maybe? Even then she still does have her clumsy moments at times when she gets distracted. Or the Clow Cards, but that is more out of necessity and duty in trying to keep everyone else safe from them.]

Being an expert is not something you're created with. You can be created good at something, but it takes dedication to be expert level. I'm sure even a human like yourself is good enough at something that you can become better at it than other humans.

I suppose so. I just never thought of myself as one. Not even with my magic with the Clow Cards. Or athletics. I can still sometimes mess up there.

[And even with how far she has come in using the cards, she still feels there's some things she doesn't quite get yet.]

Of course you mess up. You're human. Do you think any other human before you hasn't messed up?

No. You're right. Everyone makes mistakes. And I know I have plenty of time before I need to really decide what I want to do when I finish school anyway.

[Which. Seems to be on hold for now anyway with ALASTAIR and all.]

... Right. "Decide." How strange.

Gems don't get to choose what they want to do?

[Well. It might take some stress off of them. But at the same time, it seems sad. Not to be able to make that choice. Being forced into a role, even one they might come to enjoy or accept.]

No, every Gem has a purpose based on their Gem type. It makes the most efficient sense. Too many fighters, and there's no one to drive the spaceships. This concept of choice and decision is very disorganized and inefficient. No wonder your race hasn't accomplished vast space travel yet and still finds reasons for internal feud.

I think I understand what you mean. We just don't have any sort of system like that. So sometimes there might not be enough of some professions or too many of them. We can go to space, we went to the moon and we sent some satellites farther out, but it's still....you're right. There's still fighting. Still a lot of disagreements and misunderstandings.

[runningjoke]

And that's why your race is so flawed. Yellow Diamond would shatter any serious rulebreaker on my Home World.

[She even sounds a little... Proud of that fact.]

Yellow Diamond? Is that like your police force or something?

[Do Gems even need such law enforcement? Possibly still, from the sounds of what she just says there.]

Oh! So...like someone you work for then?

Yes, exactly. I report to her directly. Which, since she's so important, means I am also important.

I think I get it. That is pretty impressive! Did it take a lot of work for you to be reporting to her specifically? Or were you always doing that, with how Gems have their roles, you mentioned?

...Do you really care about this? I have a hard time believing you would actually want to hear about this.

You said I could ask you if I had questions? Is this too much? It's just...you Gems are different to what I know, so I'm just trying to understand. To learn more. It's fascinating hearing about different places and different cultures.
