we interrupt ur regularly scheduled shitposting to bring u this public service announcement
i'd avoid the general area around the dollarclub if i were u
unless u wanna claw someone's eyes out for ur favorite energy drink, anyway - it's all gone to hell with riots
i hope u all have brushed up on ur zombie apocalypse cliches
ngl it's getting pretty intense over here
saw these two guys fighting over a crate of soup and one of them just shoved the other right in front of a car backing out of its parking space
blood and bits of brain splattered everywhere
kinda gets a guy thinking, huh? all that stuff about morality and empathy and compassion that's supposed to be so important
and at the first sign of danger, people just ready to kill each other over soup
i wonder what people in wakefield are thinking, right about now
probably real grateful for that quarantine keeping these animals outta their city
they'd never do anything so horrible, of course
would they?
would you?
p.s.: someone with a certain kind of priorities took off with a case of beer, but they dropped a few cans
they probably taste like murder and guilt, but well
free booze, if u want it

[i.e. he's found a relatively tame spot and nobody's going to bother him if he doesn't Have Stuff so. he'd rather wait for them to disperse a bit first.]

Okay. Keep yourself safe. I'll be here to help if you ever need any.

--no, that's not true. he appreciates it in a sense, the fact that she goes out of her way to treat him with respect. it's nice to know someone here gives a shit about him, but it also sucks, because he's not sure he wants her to. he's not sure he wants to care about anyone on this team, because it'd be easier to be out for himself. it'd be easier not to let himself be the person he is as an Enforcer for the MWPSB, for the division that's become the closest thing he'll ever have to family.
He hates the idea that he might never see them again, and he hates the idea that he doesn't want to go back any more than he wants to stay. He hates the fact that he knows he'd be happy in ALASTAIR if they were here with him, for all he's open about not trusting the organization.
Kagari couldn't describe it if he were asked to, but the reciprocity expected from the kind of offer Reika just made feels a little bit like a betrayal, and it's with reluctance that he finally replies:]
thanks
you too
