[ This apartment may look a bit familiar. It's certainly the same one that Kaz was in in his previous post. This time however, the message features Jesper. Still decked out in his awesome 90s clothes, b-t-dubs. Yes, there are riots out there. And yeah, riots suck. But Jesper looks like he's doing pretty ok, thanks for asking. ]
Hey, so I know you guys are a real generous bunch. [ He grins. ] This might sound like a weird request, but given the way people were hoarding them back at the supermarket, I figure everybody's stocking up on canned food, right? Since I guess the food inside takes forever to spoil.
[ He shrugs. Yes, he was one of the people who looted the DollarClub. No, he does not look any worse for the wear. Instead Jesper produces a can of beans for the magitek. It's empty, actually, but he gives it a little spin if anyone needs to take a closer look before putting it down on the couch. ]
So I thought to myself, 'Jesper, I bet a lot of people are gonna just throw those cans away after they're done with them,' and that's a real shame. So if anybody has empty cans laying around, think you could send them my way?
[ He smiles again, this time the can seems to, um. Float? In mid-air? Does he know he's doing that? ]
I promise, they're for a good cause.

So... [ She pauses for a moment, looking contemplative. ] Does that mean you cheat?
[ puts him on blast tbh ]
no subject
[ Yes, yes it is. ]

I guess I never actually realized I'd been cheating this whole time. [ He chuckles?? Well, he tries anyway. ] Not that it matters much in the Barrel. And it won't matter much here if I can put my skills to good use.
no subject
I did say it was not necessarily a bad thing in this case.
no subject
[ He shrugs. Cheating... you can't survive in the Barrel without cheating. ]
Most of my friends are cheaters anyway, so it's almost poetic that I'd be one without even realizing it.
no subject
I wonder if that means you will be even better at it now you are more aware?

[ She needs someone to take her to a forest or something but alas :( ]
I am sure you will be able to improve.
no subject
[ "chaperoning" when you are 17, get real, jesper. ]
Thanks, though. What kind of magic can you do, anyway?
no subject
If you are willing, then I would like to take you up on that offer sometime.
Um, the scroll I received was called "Crystal Shard". It seems to be a type of dark magic.
[ ofc... ofc. ]
no subject
Sure thing, it's not like I'm going to class. [ Classes are for loooosers. ]
Crystal shard, huh...? Does that mean you can manipulate darkness?
no subject
I am not either anymore... though I am working as Urahara's intern at the hospital now things have escalated. Though I would say that is probably what you could call it. I have only managed it once in my bedroom but it was too dangerous to try again.
[ ah ]

Classes were never really my thing. [ He shrugs. ] Sounds fun, though. I'd definitely be willing to help you get some practice.
no subject
Truly? I enjoy them, but this became more important and there were not enough people working there. Thank you, though. Perhaps tomorrow if we get the chance to find somewhere quieter?
no subject
[ Zombies... plague... same diff... ]
Tomorrow's good! Is it safe to use inside? 'Cause somehow I doubt we'd be able to explain away dark magic if we got caught.

[ She's having to up her studying instead... ]
Well, I believe there might be a wooded area on the outskirts of the town? My scroll says it goes up to 28 metres so inside would probably be a terrible idea.
no subject
[ He shrugs. Studying is for losers... ]
Alright, that'll probably be safe. People aren't exactly in a hurry to hang out in the woods with curfews and all.
no subject
[ Jesper pls. ]
That seems to be the best option we have, given how far this can apparently reach. It should not be very strong at this level though, I do not think...
no subject
[ He is a gangster... ]
Great! What's the worst that could happen, right?
no subject
[ I mean, she's here and feels lighter already! Glad that she hit this up as a break, anyway. ]
And quite right. We will be fine, I am certain of it.
no subject
[ Of course, usually only Inej tells him that, but he knows it's appreciated by most of his friends (except probably Matthias.) ]
You stay safe in the meantime, okay?
no subject
I shall, the same sentiments to you as well.
