[ There’s a lot of important posts going up on the network lately. So much so that Naruto has been kind of apprehensive about posting this. He can't really articulate as well as everyone else and while he wishes he could say something useful about everything that's happening, he's kind of overwhelmed by it all and just taking it as it comes. His issue is determinedly unimportant, but desperation has got the better of him. So here he is. Hi, he's new. Be nice. ]

So uh, I was wonderin' if one of you could help me with something…

[ His usually whiskered but now strangely bare cheeks (thanks cloaking device) are slightly pink as he scrunches up his face. He looks… kind of embarrassed to be asking something like this so openly, because it’s like admitting inferiority, but this kind of stuff just isn’t his forte. ]

I dunno what to tell people when they ask what I do, or where I come from, or anythin' like that.

[ Coming up with an entire backstory? All by himself? Surely you jest. The most he’s managed is dressing his clones differently and calling them his brothers, any more creative than that and you’re asking a little too much of him. He’s entirely new to this community and finding a place in it is hard enough without also having to find a place in this random world too. ]

An old lady asked me why I wasn't in school, an' when I told her I stopped goin' to school when I was thirteen she didn't take it well, so I dunno what I'm supposed to say, y'know. In my world I'm a shinobi, is there anythin' like that here?

Sorpresa! You are?! [ She sounds so shocked... ] Then I would be delighted to see some time when you are free. [ Well, it beats being stuck indoors slaving over test tubes and samples. ] But that is it exactly! They perform tricks for entertainment.

[ God, don't tempt him. He will show you right now, princess. He will literally drop everything he's doing and sprint across rooftops and/or up walls if it means he gets to show off to somebody, and those actions aren't even his most flashy tricks. ]

Aah, if no-one in this world has seen any kinda ninja before, then they'll definitely be impressed by Naruto Uzumaki, y'know! [ He thumbs himself in the chest. ] They'd be impressed even if they had, I can do all sorts of stuff. Clones, turn myself into stuff like logs or even girls, make big balls of chakra that cut through stuff-- I can even use sage chakra now, and my eyes go all crazy, like a big orange frog! [ He's painfully new to that last one, forgive him the excitement he's showing. ]

[ While people in Woodhurst may worry if they saw some of those things... Sonia is at the opposite end of the scale. Naruto can't see it with how she's on audio, but her eyes are lighting up at the list of things. ]

Amazing! When things are as they are right now, I am sure people would enjoy something entertaining to keep their spirits up. If you can get a sidekick to help you out, that would be even better! You could turn it into a theatre!

[ Someone stop her... ]

Oh! Yeah you're right- make it a big thing, so everyone can see it an' then everyone will clap at the end, y'know! [ His eyes are also sparkling, but at the prospect of crowds of people calling his name and applauding. Look, okay, he's not as vain as he might be seeming; usually crowds in his world only gather around him to give him dirty looks for being the unwilling walking cage of a big energy monster, so the idea that they might gather with good intention is more exciting than he has words for.

But then, a thought makes him pause, and he mumbles a sound of almost dejected thought. ]

But I'd need to find someone who could do that. Everyone around here's got their own thing to be doing, and the rest are all the people who live here who'll probably be spooked if I asked 'em.

I am certain of it!! [ Despite being on audio, her excitement sure is shining through. Especially as he seems to be getting just as pumped up on the idea of it.

Though the dejected tone of voice just will not do. ]

Did you not arrive in Oska with others first?

I did, but.. I wasn't there long. I haven't been here long.

[ He's painfully new to.. everything here. It kind of sucks being shifted in a certain direction with no real idea of where you are in the first place, but.. It is what it is, he supposes. ]

Ah, but it's okay. [ Just like that, the dejected tone is gone, like it was never there to begin with, complete with a happy face and a little chuckle. ] There's a couple people from my world here with me, even if they're not like I know 'em, they're still my friends. An' people like you are talkin' to me, so I'm sure I'll find a place to be soon! I just have to go let everyone know who I am, y'know.

[ Speaking of.. ]

Oh- [ He's told her his name, but he's totally forgotten to ask the same in return. ] Do ya have a name, princess?

I see... I was quite lucky that when I arrived I was with a few others. There was no necessity for a cover story then either.

[ She hums in thought for a moment, nodding along though he can't see her. ]

I am glad that there are people from your home here, however! That is something lucky, even if things are not the same. I... am sadly on my own here, but at the same time it is not necessarily a bad thing right now.

[ Though oops. ]

I am truly very sorry! I forgot, but you may call me Sonia Nevermind. Though while here, I am using the name Sonia Rammsteiner.

Sonia.. [ He repeats, testing the name out in his mouth, fitting it around his accent, careful and studious for the fleeting moment. ] Sonia. Alright! Nice to meet ya, Sonia-chan!

[ He'd shake but he's not that kind of guy. It'd probably just make things weird. ]

And about you bein' on your own here, I bet that's not true. You started talkin' to me and I bet I'm not the first one. I bet you've got loads of friends, people who care about you. I don't think you'll ever be on your own.

[ She's kind to him, which he's only just starting to get used to, and the idea of anyone so kind feeling alone kind of hurts him so it's with a beaming smile and an inspiring kind of confidence that he reassures her now. ]

Yes, that is correct. [ It's endearing to watch him try and pronounce it though, a smile forming because she can't stop herself. What he replies with isn't exactly what she meant though.

And it stands out like a sore thumb for her for other reasons. ]

I appreciate your words, however, that is not what I meant. I do have friends here now... but they are not from my world. In that case, I am the only one from my world here in Audentes.

[ Oh. Whoops, there he goes stomping all over things with his big stupid mouth again. He can practically feel Sakura clobbering him over the head for sticking his foot in it, so he shrinks back and bows his head to her. ]

Sorry. I get it. [ He felt it, before Sai messaged him. Feeling alone in a crowded room is something he can understand too, but he won't say anything about it. ]

Maybe someone'll fall through like you did, sometime?

Perhaps they will. [ But how do you fall through a rift when you are comatose and cannot walk places to begin with? Four could, yes, but the rest... It's better to not think about it. ]

Either way, as I have found my footing here now, I am willing to help in any way I can.

Mm, [ he nods, reassured by that, glad to be stepping away from his previous foot-into-mouth-ing. ] Me too. So if ya ever need me, just let me know. An' I'll do the same for you, okay?

[ He'd stick out his hand, but. Y'know. Network. So he just salutes off his headband instead. ]
