[ There’s a lot of important posts going up on the network lately. So much so that Naruto has been kind of apprehensive about posting this. He can't really articulate as well as everyone else and while he wishes he could say something useful about everything that's happening, he's kind of overwhelmed by it all and just taking it as it comes. His issue is determinedly unimportant, but desperation has got the better of him. So here he is. Hi, he's new. Be nice. ]

So uh, I was wonderin' if one of you could help me with something…

[ His usually whiskered but now strangely bare cheeks (thanks cloaking device) are slightly pink as he scrunches up his face. He looks… kind of embarrassed to be asking something like this so openly, because it’s like admitting inferiority, but this kind of stuff just isn’t his forte. ]

I dunno what to tell people when they ask what I do, or where I come from, or anythin' like that.

[ Coming up with an entire backstory? All by himself? Surely you jest. The most he’s managed is dressing his clones differently and calling them his brothers, any more creative than that and you’re asking a little too much of him. He’s entirely new to this community and finding a place in it is hard enough without also having to find a place in this random world too. ]

An old lady asked me why I wasn't in school, an' when I told her I stopped goin' to school when I was thirteen she didn't take it well, so I dunno what I'm supposed to say, y'know. In my world I'm a shinobi, is there anythin' like that here?

[Nothing he said helped except the cafe and shops. He hasn't seem many of those around. He starts walking as he listens, going back to the street with the shops.]

I hope you're right, moron, or you won't get your precious noodles.

Hey, look, okay, if I asked you where abouts you were we'd have just as much trouble, unless ya can read this weird language with your new powers or whatever.

[ He's not salty, you're salty.

He does, however, start walking back the way he came. ]

I gave ya plenty of clues, an' it's not like this place is very big. Konoha is probably bigger.

[ It's probably not, but Naruto is a poor judge. ]

.... I can't read the language but my directions are still better than yours.

[He's walking, looking around to try and find this street Naruto mentioned, not exactly sure he's going the right way.

He has to stop for a moment and blink, because, seriously?]

Naruto, this place is big, it's an advanced city with many, many roads and businesses, how can you say it's not that big?

It ain't big! It just looks big 'cos we've never been here before! I can run across it in no time at all, I bet! I'll prove it to ya, too.

[ One day that probably isn't now because ramen is his top priority. ]

Alright then, where are you? Tell me how to find ya, and I bet your directions won't be as good as mine.

...Naruto, it's a big city.

[He sighs, looking around. Ok so this isn't as easy as he thought it'd be but...]

I'm standing in the middle of a sidewalk, next to a bookstore which has a red door. To my left there's a street that lets to a big building that towers over everything else, and to my right theres more stores with different coloured doors. There's no streets behind or in front of me, so there's no place to go but down the row of stores until the lights with three colours. That street seems to lead to more stores, but I can't see any building as big as the one I described.

Sasuke how am I supposed to find one door in this place!! Ya keep sayin' it's so big, maybe ya should give me some kinda--

[ Naruto is going to keep yelling but as he looks around, frustrated as people milling around the sidewalk he's trailing along stare at this wild kid yelling into his necklace, he spots a big building that's much taller than the ones that frame it on the street to his left, and when he looks to his right he sees differently coloured doors. He looks directly ahead of himself to the familiar form of Sasuke, standing there looking... well, like Sasuke normally does, really.

He's in half a mind to run away and hide to make good on his assurance that Sasuke's instructions would be just as crap as his were, but instead he just scowls and mutters-- ] ..Bastard.

[Sasuke doesn't even respond, he just waits, patiently, knowing full well the idiot is most likely to find him.

And yup, exactly as he predicted he sees a very familiar blond head poking through one of the corners, and he really, really doesn't want to, but he ends up smirking anyway.]

Dumbass.

[He takes the backpack off his shoulder and offers it to Naruto.]

Here you go.

[ Naruto's ire is only amplified as Sasuke smirks at him because it's more reminiscent of a Sasuke that Naruto is familiar with rather than the relatively placid one in front of him right now. It's good, really, that Naruto can both separate them and see them as the same when he has to, but right now he can't see Sasuke's smirk as anything even close to a good thing. It just pisses him off.

He snatches the backpack and half tears open the zip to peer inside. And then all his anger is gone. It's like a bright, purifying light is shining out of the mouth of the bag as Naruto gazes down into it. Is he crying??? Probably. ]

Sasuke.... Thank you.....

[He can't help but smile at the sincerity of Naruto's reaction. Only this idiot would get emotional over instant ramen.]

[Something occurs to him then.]

Do you have the necessary equipment to cook those things?

[ Naruto doesn't miss Sasuke smiling and he kind of gawks at it for a few moments before he realises he should be speaking. ]

Uhh- What, hot water? Yeah, sure, I can get hot water anywhere. I know how to make ramen, y'know.

[Sasuke sighs and rolls his eyes.]

You'll need a bowl for a couple of them too.

I know that, bastard, I'm not stupid!

[ God, Momsuke, calm down. He rolls his eyes. ]

Ya know I can zip my own jacket up by myself an' everythin' too.

Really? Would have fooled me.

[He rolls his eyes, and hand on hip, like a mom really.]

I'm so glad you don't wear buttons.

[ Sigh, what happened to Sasuke's cute smile from before, why's he gotta put up with all this sass. 8(

Naruto dumps the ramen into his ridiculous frog backpack like that's a decent enough comeback. ]

Yeah, yeah, whatever. [ He gives him a withering look, but then just before he's about to call it quits and leave, he thinks of something. ] Ya should come over sometime. We can share these. [ He gestures to the last packet of ramen before depositing it in his bag. ]

Where did you get that, by the way?

[He asks, pointing to the backpack.]

Share... There's a reason I'm giving them to you.

[It's not like I want to share those or anything, you baka.]
