You think so? I mean, maybe when I see Syaoran-kun again. But...that's okay. Just knowing he's back home again, in Tomoeda is enough for now.

[She's used to waiting, at this point.]

And for me, knowing that Kouta-san is back home with everyone else at Maple House gives me peace as well.

[At the same time, though, she's worried that he might get closer to Yuka while she's with Audentes. Wait, no--she shouldn't be thinking like that. Yuka was her friend too.]

Would you mind telling me a bit about Syaoran-kun? [A small giggle.] Of course I'll tell you about Kouta-san as well or else it would not be fair.

Kouta-san? A-ah, well, Syaoran-kun is....um, he helped me with the Clow Cards and all. And with all that, and being at school together, I realized how much I'd miss him when he said he'd be leaving for Hong Kong. So that's why....why I gave him that bear.

[Touya does not approve. But chances were that her brother would not approve of whoever it happened to be that Sakura had feelings for. Just out of sheer protective older sibling mode.]

That's so sweet, Sakura-chan~ I'm sure he'll think of you every time he looks at that bear, but I hope you two can see each other again real soon.

As for Kouta-san, he was one of the first people to find me after I lost my memories, or so I've been told. [She can't remember what she was like when she first came to Maple House no more than anyone can remember their own birth.] When I had no where else to go, he opened his home to me, and I'm not the only one either. Along with Yuka-san, he does everything he can to make the rest of us feel welcome. Then when it seemed like our 'family' could not live together anymore, he never gave up to convince us otherwise. He's done so much to keep us all together. He is a selfless, wonderful person.

[She knows that Zenyatta warned her once before about putting people on a pedestal, but she can never help herself when it comes to Kouta.]

I was going to give the bear to Yukito-san but that...ah, that didn't work out. But I'm glad I could give him something when Syaoran left for Hong Kong.

But...it sounds like Kouta-san helped you a lot. I'm glad he was there for you. I don't think -- he's not here with ALASTAIR is he?

[She doesn't think she's seen or heard a Kouta running around, at least. Which is possibly for the better in knowing their friends and family are safer back home then getting involved in all this, even if it might also be lonely.]

I'm sorry to hear that things didn't work out the first time... But I hope the next one will be different, in a good way!

No, he's back home. I miss him very much, but at the same time I'm glad he's not here. I wouldn't want him to be put in harm's way.

[There's a lengthy pause before she adds quietly:]

I wouldn't want him to know about Lucy either...

[Would he think differently if he knew that a fierce killer shared her body? Would he be fearful? Would he banish her from Maple House because he saw her as a threat to everyone's safety?]

Well, at least I know I'll still see Yukito-san a lot. And he and Touya-nii-san are happy, so. That's the important thing. Even if not with me.

[By now, she's adjusted, accepted he didn't return her feelings. Even if it hurt in the immediate aftermath when she cried to Syaoran about it.]

I know what you mean. At least I know everyone back home is okay. But ah, he doesn't know....?

[She's still getting used to the idea of Lucy and Nyuu, but that does seem important. And difficult to bring up, to say the least.]

[Not that Nyuu has anything against those sort of things personally, but her time period is not as accepting, sadly.]

I don't think so. He's never mentioned a word of it to me before.

Yes. If anyone was Yukito-san's special 'number one'...I'm glad it's Touya-nii-san. I guess I just didn't see it because I was so happy whenever he came around to our place.

But maybe he isn't sure how to bring it up? I mean, Syaoran-kun told me right away he knew about the cards, but I guess that's different from your situation.

I'm glad you are able to look at it in a positive light by feeling happy for your brother. [One could hear the smile in Nyuu's voice.] And who knows--Maybe things were meant to happen that way in order to for you to find Syaoran-san? While at the same time fate helped your brother find his special someone, too?

[Nyuu was a hopeless romantic when it came to things like that and her lack of life experience only made her more starry-eyed.]

I actually had a similar thought, but Kouta is not the type of person who keeps quiet when it comes to important matters. I'm certain that if he knew, he would have brought it up by now... Even though he's not here, I often find myself trying to figure out how to tell him, but I'm scared of what he'll think.

[Fate indeed. Even Eriol had figured she and Yue -- Yukito, would end up together, what with her pull to him through his power being aligned with the moon.]

Scared? But...this isn't something you can help, is it? So why would he be scared?

No, I can't... but that's exactly why I'm concerned that Kouta-san may see me as a danger.

Besides, you've seen for yourself, right? Lucy is the exact opposite of me. I'm sure it would be very confusing and stressful for Kouta to have his friend with him one moment and then a stranger in the next.

[Except Lucy does have a past with Kouta, but Nyuu had yet to find out.]

I...I know. But that's why you need to talk to him. Explain. I'm sure he's just as confused as...as my brother, as Yukito-san was. When he was so hungry, and falling asleep all the time, suddenly a different place than he remembered being before he'd transform to Yue-san to help me or talk to Kero-chan.

[It's...not exactly the same. But Sakura can't help trying to figure how that must feel for Kouta, for the others involved somehow in this and her own magic dealings back home.]
