[There's video for once! The familiar brash, adolescent voice now matches with a (bruised) face: a screen half full of white hair, golden eyes, dog ears, and an incredibly sour expression. Does he have fangs when he talks? They look like fangs.]

If you're missin' a room full of people, I can tell you right where they are.

[It's hard to lean back when the comm device is attached to a necklace, but Inuyasha does anyway. Behind him is a crowded cell. Everyone's able to see some familiar Rost faces and Larson, some other civilians, as well as Hayame and Odinson.

Hayame, who looks shockingly less like a horse and more like a human, glares from afar, and if it could kill, it would have destroyed Inuyasha on the spot probably. On the other hand, it's a normal day for Odinson; he's indifferent to being stuck in a cell.]

I don't plan on rotting in here with anybody else, and this is all just pissin' me off. [This is, like, his preemptive warning to the guild or whatever.] We're two seconds away from busting out of here, and I don't care how we do it.

I understand that this messaging forum has been provided to us as a convenient method of coordinating plans and sharing information among ourselves both before and during missions, given that there is no centralised command structure.

However, I also believe that it is used informally to poll and survey guild members more casually, to gather information on member opinions, beliefs and lifestyles.

I have been asked by a few people about my own world, but I find myself lacking in education enough to describe it to others, with this place being the only other frame of reference I have to go off of.

Therefore, I would like to ask others to describe their own worlds to me, in reference to this one, so that I might better understand how it might be done, and how my own seems to fit into the larger picture.

Thank you.

[This pops up on the magitek a few days after the dossier for the upcoming mission; Fiona's voice is smooth and friendly, like she's quite practiced at speaking to people.]

Hey, Ophelia. Fiona here.

Looks like our next mission requires some backstory work -- and unlike last time, we can't rely on "ignorant tourist." So, because of my experience with this sort of, uh... situation, I'm willing to help everyone out, because I'd rather we didn't all get thrown in cyber-jail because one of you screwed up.

I'm also from a universe where cybernetics are commonplace, so I can help you get the lowdown on that. [Just don't ask her about technical details. It will be embarrassing for everyone involved.]

So, let me know if you need help, advice, whatever -- we're all in this together, after all. And, as you all know, I'm an altruist.

These rifts affecting a single guild member...do they happen often? I had found myself suddenly back in my own universe for some time, with no memory of having joined Hathaway, only to return before I-- nevermind.

[this is voice for a reason because while there is disappointment in her tone, she'd rather not show it to the rest of the guild. it's something she'll get to when her time with Hathaway feels like it's been completed.]

I realize I have been gone for only a handful of days, and merely wanted to inform everyone that I have returned.

[and because as A Leader Type she can't help herself:]

Hopefully we are all already thinking of our aliases for the upcoming mission.

[Sometime after the Escort Missions are completed, Alucard speaks up on the network, sounding weary.]

I loathe to ask this of any of you, though I respect any who wish to decline my request. If you accept, know that I am incredibly grateful for it.

I require a bit of blood, if you have it. I know not all of you do. I will not accept it from someone who is ill.

Should you wish an explanation, or have further questions, I will answer them. I am open to discussing on methods of bloodletting if you would consider to donate it to me.

[Happy Valentine's Day, Club Ophelia! Naturally, this guild is neither a club nor really in a place to pass around cute Valentine's with fantastic puns, but one could consider this a spectacular day to publicly broach a specific issue: marriage.

No, not among the various members of the lovely guild, but the Empresses themselves. Love is in the air, isn't it? Or it could be. In time.

As it is, incoming Veronica and a beautiful vampire man by the name of Alucard. Thankfully, no one will be announcing any murders here, accidental, in self-defense, or otherwise.]

Hello, Guild Ophelia! [That's Veronica. She's as chirpy and confident as ever.] Alucard and I have a proposal to make. Let's just say "proposal" is a fitting way to talk about precisely how we want to approach the rest of this mission. Some of you have already heard what I have to say about this, but I think it's fitting if we hear it from another party.

[Alucard, on the other hand, is calm and keeping his usual regal approach.] In addition, I thought it best to ensure everyone heard what we had to say. Veronica’s idea is a wise one: there will be persistent unrest with all people in both regions. If they are unable to agree to one ruler, there is no reason to not revere both as ruling parties. It would be an ideal resolution.

This could be arranged easily by marriage between both Empresses.

[Veronica is seen nodding in response to this, pleased that this is coming together.]

I know a number of you think a peace treaty might be the answer. I don't disagree, but we're here to ensure that there's a more permanent solution moving forward. The union of these two women is the best way for both of these societies to have their cake and eat it, too. Their combined resources and culture can only make them both better. And we're not left desperately trying to make Doro be the one in charge … or someone like him. We know he just doesn't suit the unique nature of this world. [One that Veronica herself is rather fond of!]

So, let's discuss team.

[The video feed turns on, and Alucard can be seen combing out his hair thoughtfully, his brows knitted into a tight frown. He considers his words carefully, then he begins:]

I recognize that we've been successful, at least, in assisting in stopping the attack at the end of the festival. It seems we'd adequately identified that they were not related in any way to the Empress of the Crashing Wave.

However, I felt it important to mention to the rest of you that during combat, I did slay one of the masked warriors. It brings me no pleasure to inform you of this. At the time, it felt necessary. Looking back on it now, I regret my lack of restraint.

I hope that this does not reflect badly upon our mission. My apologies.

[Alucard bows his head.]

I shall end this message, though I welcome your questions and comments if you must.

so we've got a war to stop and all and that's important and whatever, but i was thinking
something like half of us must be complete strangers to each other, right?
so when you wanna take a break from politics and beating up ogres and shit, let's play a game as an icebreaker!

anyone ever hear of truth or dare?
each person has to pick one or the other when they reply, and if they pick truth it means they have to answer a question completely honestly
if they pick dare, they have to fulfill one challenge, no questions asked
and nobody better cheat, cause i've got lie detecting powers and i'll know~♥

[No, he doesn't. But the newbies don't need to know that, okay.]

to make things fun, you gotta take a selfie or do a video of yourself doing your dare, or it doesn't count

i'll start
first person to reply can challenge me to a dare before taking their turn

[The feed flickers on rather suddenly, tracing over a burned down campfire with a few footsteps spread here and there. Not all of them are worth tracking, though, some are from the party members that had stumbled on the campfire in the first place. There's some hushed discussion just behind, though nothing really clear enough to understand. Don't worry, though, Peter is more than happy to address the rest of the team.

The camera swings to him, instead of the remnants of a fire. He waves — and then he's down to business.]

Yo. [Just kidding, apparently he had to greet everyone first. For once he does not announce both of his names, instead diving right into their discovery.] So, we were poking around the Flowerlands, and in here past a few ogres, maybe three, wasn't counting, we found... something, that's for sure.

There's this fire, though it seems like it's been dead awhile. We also found a note...

[He pauses to pick it up, and despite having no clue how to read it, the handy magitek translator fills it in for him.]

Mentions a, Tsukiko? Kaori? ... and that the group camping here regrets not "convincing any of the Flowerlands Guard to their side" before they moved on to another checkpoint, where they want to meet the other two.

[There's a bit more to the note, he's paraphrasing a bit, but feel free to ask him to read it exactly if you'd like to know.]

It seems they feared the women of the Flowerlands were suspicious of their activities in this area... but. There was also this. Do excuse me, Peter-

[The young girl sitting next to your broadcaster interjects, leaning into frame and holding up a ring pinched between two fingers. A signet ring, with marine-themed markings of the Sea Clan.]

Of course, we cannot say this is proof, per se, but. Considering the news brought to us about those who carried out the ambush...

[Right. It does look, at the very least, a little fishy. haha. get it.... sorry. Peter nods, and glances Sieglinde's way.]

Yeah. Thanks, Sieg. [Is it too soon for nicknames in their budding friendship? whoops...] That's it for now.

ooc: peter is blue and Sieglinde is green! this search happened after the ambush and the fire is of the group that was responsible for the attacks at the festival, per mods. scott, anthy, or clark could interject on this post as well since the search happened together! go wild!

This probably goes without saying if you've already dealt with this, but as a kind heads up if you do come faced with this: if you get any kind of crap on you while nosing around the labs, wash it off immediately. Even if it's just on your clothes.

If you're experiencing some off effect, it's not permanent, but I sure as hell can't heal it out of you.

So try not to panic, don't 100% buy into everything that you see or experience, and maybe just sleep it off. That's my recommendation.

Since we're going to be leaving again soon, I have a REALLY important question for everyone. It came up recently in a couple of conversations I was having, and I think knowing everyone's answers will help us become stronger as a team! This is a safe place, so say whatever you think! There is no wrong answer. 38)

So my very important question is: what are your thoughts on puns?

[The recent change of scenery, from the dry stone of the labyrinth's walls, decorated only occasionally with vines, to a much more vibrant sort of setting full of plants and water. It certainly seems more peaceful, even if it isn't. Zenyatta seems to have taken to it well enough, with his prison jumpsuit still on, although the top half of is just wrapped around his waist. Yeah, he just wears whatever he's put in, although it already has a few holes in it.

He's not bothered by the slight drizzle of rainfall currently happening, either. But can you really tell, with an unmoving faceplate like his?
]

Greetings, everyone. I apologize if I have been ... standoffish, recently. Sometimes I forget how quickly time passes, especially so when I am meditating.

It has come to my attention lately that I am not the only one who could benefit from from the act of meditation.

[You people know who you are.]

I know that the situation we find ourselves in right now is not the easiest, and it has not been easy in some time. But it is exactly because of this, that we must be resolute in our tranquility. Guard well your thoughts, and the rest will follow.

Please seek me out, should you need help in finding your tranquility, or even if you simply would like someone to talk to. Also, if you require healing. Now that I have found these again-

[His orbs, finally back around his neck and floating.]

I will be able to help restore others physically as well. Be careful, my friends.

[Well, this is the first time Giovanni's ever addressed the network as a whole, and apparently he's using it to say--]

I suppose I should have done this sooner really, rather than pointlessly holding on to these things. But if anyone should require them, I have a few blankets to spare, along with some dried meat. It's not as though I especially need it for myself, so first come first served.

[There's a brief pause, and then--]

I suppose I should add, I've no idea what kind of animal this meat is from. Could be human for all I know. Hahah.

[And on that cheery note, the transmission abruptly ends.]

I have few doubts in the work we have been doing for ALASTAIR. Rarely simple as it has been, but it has been eye-opening work nonetheless.

Yet, still.

...

How long do you foresee yourself in Audentes?

How much is enough before returning to where you belong?

I wonder.

Morning, darlings. No, this isn't a call to share, not quite yet.

There wouldn't happen to be any healers capable of mending broken bones on the team, would there? Dearest George has hurt himself and, instead of doing the reasonable thing and seeking help from his team, he's decided it's much more effective to lumber around with the enemy.

This won't do. You all know why.

So. If anyone would please do him a favor and take care of that? And take HIM away from his current company. Thank you.

Just as an interesting little side-note, it seems our blue friend hasn't the foggiest about her own team's exploits when it comes to ALASTAIR. Just thought that was fascinating.

[The feed cuts to a familiar sight - it's Mettaton, darlings. He's lounging, as per usual, on what appears to be a still-standing piece of the ship. If anyone had been paying attention, it's where he's mostly been for the past few days outside of scavenging and playing nurses' assistant.]

Gooooooood evening, beauties and gentlebeauties. We've certainly been having a rough spot for a long while, now haven't we? Sure, death is imminent, things feel hopeless, yadda yadda, but why cry about broken ships when the show needs to go on?

As such, I thought it'd be a splendid idea for all of us to catch up with one another and see how our escape attempts are going. Found something interesting? Weapons, food, tools, interesting little pathways or things to avoid? Do let the rest of the class know!

As for me, you've probably noticed a little light in the sky guiding you home. [It doesn't show from the feed's angle, but for the past several days he's been projecting a star high into the sky to help keep any explorers be correctly oriented during their search.] You're welcome, by the way.

But I've ALSO come into the possession of a few little toys. [Into frame, he pulls out what looks like, and is, a pulse rifle that most certainly belonged to a prison guard at one point. He runs his hands along it like it's a game show prize.] THIS is only one of TWO that I'm willing to offer to a sweet SOUL in need of a little extra protection. For those more physical, [again, he reaches off screen and pulls out another weapon previously belonging to the guards: an electrical pike.] We have this. Don't worry, there's no price. Your adoration is its own reward. Let me know if you'd like them - first come, first serve.

[Wink.]

So what say you, darlings? Find anything good thus far?

So just as a heads up, something is up with the walls in this place.
I can't see a damned thing past them, and I've already tried my luck in hopping past them too.
Not working.

So the old fashioned way is, unfortunately, looking like what we're doing here.
Which I'm not real keen on, but I reckon there's not much to be done about it other than just pointing out what I'm noticing here.

That about covers it. Otherwise: yeehaw, we escaped, kind of.

ok listen up, this is actually legitimately important

if this is your first time getting locked up like this, you need to understand one main thing going forward: our lives are less than worthless to these people. every second we're still breathing is a second more than they needed to give us.

i can't promise that we're going to be okay. i don't know if ALASTAIR gives enough of a shit to come for us. but even though i'm not gonna be the guy who has a lot of pretty words to say to keep hope alive or whatever, i do know a few things about staying safe in here. surviving, if this is for the long haul

1) don't make a fuss or be a nuisance to the guards. don't draw attention. the more forgettable you are, the better off you'll be

2) try to avoid using your jewel comms as much as you can. if they realize we're communicating through these, they'll be confiscated

3) DON'T TRY TO BE A HERO. this is the most important point here so i'm gonna repeat it, DO NOT TRY TO BE A FUCKING HERO.

we're not in a fucking action movie, trying to escape or break everyone out will get you in deep ass shit, maybe even made an example out of. don't fucking do it.
