I don't know where he is. So if you can spare some time to help me look for him... that'd be great. [ the fact that he's actually asking for help with this tells just how dire the situation has gotten.

another pause — it almost seems like he's going to end it there, but he continues, voice tight, ] But be careful if you actually find him. He's — [ god, how does he warn people and still keep Peter's secret identity? is that even something he should be worrying about right now?? ]

He's going to be more dangerous than your usual infected person. [ there, that'll have to do. ]

[ oops, he definitely did not mean to yell that, but even just the idea of waiting somewhere, not knowing whether Peter's safe or not, having to rely on others to catch him... no, he couldn't. he can't. ]

Look, all I need to do is get close enough to talk to him. I've calmed him down before, I know it'll work. And it won't put anyone at risk. All I need is for someone to find him, make sure he doesn't run away before I get there.

Do any of them listen? The infected. Has speaking to them ever worked?

I understand that you are worried about your friend, but it would also not do you any harm to be examined while waiting. If you are, the both of you infected, what good will you do him? And from what you say, if someone is capable of taking him down and keeping him still, it will not make a difference whether you are where you are, or at the hospital.

They could, surely, bring Peter to you.

Yeah, it has. I told you — I calmed him down before. He was... in the middle of destroying the university lab [ okay he already hates telling this story but if he has to do it to convince Loki, he will ] but when I talked to him, he pulled himself out of it.

If there's any chance to get through to him without anyone having to fight him... shouldn't we try that? Isn't that more important? And I told you, I'm fine. I got my blood tested like a month ago, it was clean. So even if I'm infected, it's impossible for the infection to have passed week four, I've still got like three weeks before full insanity.
