Hey guys... it's Stiles. [ not a great start, as far as speeches go, but maybe some of that can be attributed to the fact he sounds roughly like he's forgotten what sleep is supposed to even be. ]

Look, I know we've got a lot going on right now, finding the fake doctor, all that. But, just listen for a second, okay? Peter's missing. [ a pause as he swallows before powering on; he gives no further explanations about who exactly he's talking about: anyone who has been following Team Science should know Peter, after all. ] And not in the "he was probably transferred" way, the "he's totally infected and ran away after leaving his magitek behind" way. It's been three days, I've searched the city, like, a thousand and ten times but he's —

I don't know where he is. So if you can spare some time to help me look for him... that'd be great. [ the fact that he's actually asking for help with this tells just how dire the situation has gotten.

another pause — it almost seems like he's going to end it there, but he continues, voice tight, ] But be careful if you actually find him. He's — [ god, how does he warn people and still keep Peter's secret identity? is that even something he should be worrying about right now?? ]

He's going to be more dangerous than your usual infected person. [ there, that'll have to do. ]

[ honestly, he doesn't intend to yell at Peter at all — he'll feel bad enough even without that. all he wants is to make sure he's alive, safe, to be able to hug him and see that he won't hurt anyone, that no one will try to hurt him, either. ]

[ it's a slight surprise, to hear the voice of the guy he'd stopped to help him out with his jeep just a few days earlier — but the surprise has to do just as much with what he's saying... mostly because it's exactly what he thinks is what happened, too. ]

... yeah. He's probably locked himself away somewhere so he wouldn't hurt anyone. [ and that's all his fault, for making him lash out at him in the first place, making him feel like he needed to hide from the world in case he'd end up hurting someone else, too. ]

I don't want to keep you from helping out trying to find Dr. Percy... but honestly? I'd feel better knowing I've got you with me on this.

[ there's a pause before he speaks, and a hint of concern (just a hint) that comes with it. ]

[ he can track, if necessary, but something tells him that Peter has his own ideas. ]

[ it's just as well that Loki responds before Stiles has the chance to contact him — he's one of the few he could think of who likely wouldn't be bothered by Peter's powers, so asking him for backup if necessary would be a good idea... only, Stiles remembers Loki's truth sword and asking him to help with this is asking him to divide his time between the search for the doctor and this... and he can't do that.

... no. [ it's not the answer he wants to give, but it's the truth. ] He's probably locked himself off somewhere... but I know that even if he had a plan, he wasn't prepared to enact it. Which means he hasn't had the chance to think it through, or make it foolproof, or something else — something's going to go wrong, and we have to find him before it does.

[It's not going to be Joseph's primary concern in all honesty. The idea of chasing after a specific infected does not sound like Joseph's idea of a good time, and he's barely got his feet under him as far as he's concerned, but that's not any excuse not to at least try. Sorta. Halfway-ish.]

I'm accustomed to "more dangerous than the usual". I've contended with opponents whose strength is many times that of a human, and I heal quickly, so I think I can be of use here.

I've spent time with Peter in the squidge park, so I know his scent. [One of the questionable perks of being a ghoul. Thank goodness they've been over this part already] Do you think he'd be more likely topside or underground? I'm pretty mobile, so heights aren't a concern.

it's a relief, to see Haise responding — he already knows just how useful his abilities can be... there are others who have agreed to help, too, but only a few of them Stiles would actually believe to be capable of matching up to Peter in a fight. and as much as he'd like to believe it won't come to that... well. ]

I think he'd be somewhere where he could, like, lock himself into and not get out that easily... Reika suggested something like a bomb shelter. But if he gets out — then it's anyone's guess. He could be anywhere.
