So we are to fight. [Odinson is freshly bathed, his hair tied back in a knot. There's a new light in his eyes at the promise of this. Killing robots is a task well-suited to him. This he can do.]

Being newly-come to this group, I know few of you, and few of you know me. I would know the skills and knowledge of those I will fight alongside. Or die alongside, if this enemy is truly so formidable. [The half-smile that follows indicates he doesn't quite believe that's a possibility.]

Myself, I am Odinson, of Asgardia, God of Thunder. [There's the slightest hesitation there, for anyone who'll notice such a thing. Something unsaid.] I have fought across the nine realms of my universe, and will fight here with hammer or blade or my fists until the enemy is routed or I am slain. If any wish to spar or learn to fight in the days before we are summoned to Oska, you have only to call on me.

Likewise, any tacticians or those with knowledge of Oska or the enemy, share your knowledge. We ought have some plan before we are shipped back. [Is that sarcasm???]

[ Well he's not wrong. but neither is he right. ]

Yes, hello. We established that the last time we spoke, though you stormed off like a child when the conversation turned in ways you did not appreciate.

You are not- [Because no, this is different. Odinson knows his brother, and something is off.

But this is most evidently Loki, of some kind.]

[ He shrugs, a graceful motion as he flicks a lock of hair over his shoulder, leaning in just a bit closer to the "camera" of his magitech. ]

I am, though. I am Loki, though I am not your brother. Just as how you are Thor, Odinson, but not the same I [ The very briefest pause, a multitude of words in that smallest space (loved, hated, fought with, fought beside, so many and all of them not appropriate) before he continues smoothly ] knew.

[So... Odinson has been meeting all these Avengers from alternate universes and this shouldn't be a surprise.

But it is.] Then the other night?

[mistruths]

I was very impressed with how you managed to speak so eloquently about so little. It does seem rather as though that should be Loki's domain.

You ought have-

[His scowl increases. No, Loki would not have, would never reveal himself when there was free information for the taking.]

I am familiar with Loki's domain.

[mistruths]

Mm. I'm sure you are. [. A brief pause, and he smiles faintly, polite and removed. An expression that would have been charming, once, hadn't it held any warmth. ] I ought have cleared up your misunderstanding, is it? You were so deep in your cups, Odinson, that it wouldn't have mattered.

[Scornfully.] Unsurprising that common decency cannot be expected from and Loki.

[mistruths]

Unsurprisng that the blame will not be taken by Thor.

[deemed]

Then it is well I am no Thor.

[mistruths]

The Thor I knew, too, once lost the right to wield Mjolnir. He did not give up his name.

Did another pick up the hammer in your brother's place?

[mistruths]

[ SOMEONE (loki) TRIED. ]

No. Many attempted to.

[ We'll fight about "brother" later. ]

[Not going to stop with the brother, brother.]

Then there was no need.

There was little point my holding the name when another took my place. She now wields Mjolnir and fights alongside the Avengers. It is she, Thor, who defends Earth and Asgard from danger. [While he mopes about on the moon drinking and feeling sorry for himself.]

[mistruths]

Is she not worthy of her own name? Or is it that only the name of Thor that is worth the might of Mjolnir? [ that was rather sarcastic. also, a brief pause before: ] And really. Do my ears deceive me, or do you sound a bit petulant? I'd have expected you to be swinging about in your efforts to protect the people with or without your silly hammer.

If you are anything akin to my brother, you will not understand.

[mistruths]

Akin to my brother? Probably.

[He studies Loki appraisingly. What would make him like his brother or not?]

[ LUCKILY this is just through magitek and it's not as though odinson is there to shake him to see what falls out or anything ]

How can you tell? It isn't as though we've spoken overmuch, you and I.

I know my brother. Better, perhaps, than any other creature. [Though, who could really know Loki?]

[mistruths]

[ He's about to respond when he frowns, sighs. It's true, after all, even of his own Thor--though Thor knows him not very well at all. He envies Loki for this, though he's careful not dwell on it. ]

Should I congratulate you?

[deemed]

A Loki-ish response if ever I heard one. [Sarcastic, more than a little cutting, and giving nothing away.]

Congratulate me when I learn how to deal with him.

Will you ever?

[ He hums, tapping a finger against his lip. ]

Will you tell me of Loki? Your thoughts and memories, your joys and regrets.

Have you not been here long enough to form your own impressions of him?

Of a sort. We do not talk much.
