[It's a nice hello from your local, not-Zymandis robots! You know, the ones on your side that you shouldn't be slaughtering! Luckily, they look a lot different, right?

Anyway, it's Knock Out and Zenyatta together in a room that looks like it's near the library, and upon the table behind them is one of the Shielders, as well as a T15. Both appear rather... dissected, at this point. Zenyatta addresses the network, while Knock Out, still picking over the insides of the Shielder, ignores it.]

Greetings.

Although I know this may not have been a popular topic... I had been interested in the level of consciousness of our enemies. Thank you, Keith, for assisting in not harming these units fatally. With help from Knock Out, I was able to see if the Zymandis robots were capable of any thoughts of their own, or had any direction besides their orders. They did not. Perhaps that is for the best.

[There’s movement from behind as Knock Out finally gives up on his patient (“patient”) and leans in to loom over Zenyatta and share the feed. He looks pretty pleased with himself as he speaks.]

They did bring us a little gift, though. Both of these machines have connectivity ports in them — don’t worry, I’ve disabled the transmitter, they’re only receiving data at the moment. And it looks like they’re receiving straight from Zymandis… assuming Zymandis is a moving point. A warship, maybe. They’re all the rage for destructive organizations. [He pauses to quirk a brow.] So, if nothing else, we know where not to go galavanting off to.

[ and he just. shrugs. Zenyatta may feel differently, but as far as Knock Out goes: ] I'd say anything trying to kill you in return is fair game.

I did not mention my concerns about it largely because I knew it would go unheeded. It did not matter in the end.

Still. [He half shrugs.] I could've disabled them, too. Just tear off legs or something.

You could have. If they had sentience, then that would have been more merciful. If it had turned out that they did, I would have made an announcement sooner.

Whoa — that's awesome, guys. Uh... How long do you think you can keep it connected before they find out?

[ assuming. you know. they haven't already. ]

We're cloaked. It's actually some effort to get around the cloak and trace the signal at all — I can't keep it connected for very long. I'd say it's highly unlikely they'll be tracing it back.

So are you planning on just — keeping the connection going? Tracking them, maybe...

I imagine it'd be awfully convenient for checking in on them, if nothing else. That's not to say they don't split the bulk of their force, or have multiple strike teams and branches... but it's something.

But it would make sense that this is central command or something, right? Or at the very least one of their weapons carriers.

We do not know for certain if it is a warship. Only that... it is likely.

Wouldn't surprise me. Giant robot soldiers is a negative ten for subtlety: if their HQ's not ostentatious as all hell, I'm eating my helm.

I'm hanging in there. It's gonna take more than this to get rid of me. If you don't have your hands full already, though, would you be able to use your healing on me again? Now that it looks like this is nearly over... for now.

Cliches are there for a reason, I suppose. You use what works. [ not that he's speaking from experience or anything. ]

And we're fine. These invaders are a little on the small side, nothing to worry about.

What, the tried-and-true, overcompensatory supervillain lair? Sure.

Also, if this is small for you, what's big? These things are huge.

[ and he just. gestures to himself. it's not too easy to gauge size from a video feed, but he angles it to catch the way the tip of his helm nearly brushes the ceiling of this room. if Jin recognizes the room at all, it's one with about 20 foot ceilings. ]

And mind you, I'm somewhat... compact, for my race. [ as much as he hates to admit that he's short ]

The attack in general? I can't imagine so. These machines are simple, hardly a threat if you know what you're doing. If Zymandis is such a giant, they might send them to take care of a nuisance at best.

Good. We're much safer if we continue to be underestimated, though that might not last long if we keep thwarting them. I really don't want them to start being serious before we really know what we're up against.

If I am honest, I am more under the impression that we are "a fly to swat" than a true threat to them, given the level of forces they have sent against us so far. Their most impressive display was our first real encounter in Perdition's Rest.

Being seen as not worth their time is our biggest asset in this battle. It's going to be much more difficult when they realize we could be a threat.

I agree. Given their lessening amount of force used on us, I believe that this is more in our favor that it may seem, in this moment.
