[It's a nice hello from your local, not-Zymandis robots! You know, the ones on your side that you shouldn't be slaughtering! Luckily, they look a lot different, right?

Anyway, it's Knock Out and Zenyatta together in a room that looks like it's near the library, and upon the table behind them is one of the Shielders, as well as a T15. Both appear rather... dissected, at this point. Zenyatta addresses the network, while Knock Out, still picking over the insides of the Shielder, ignores it.
]

Greetings.

Although I know this may not have been a popular topic... I had been interested in the level of consciousness of our enemies. Thank you, Keith, for assisting in not harming these units fatally. With help from Knock Out, I was able to see if the Zymandis robots were capable of any thoughts of their own, or had any direction besides their orders. They did not. Perhaps that is for the best.

[There’s movement from behind as Knock Out finally gives up on his patient (“patient”) and leans in to loom over Zenyatta and share the feed. He looks pretty pleased with himself as he speaks.]

They did bring us a little gift, though. Both of these machines have connectivity ports in them — don’t worry, I’ve disabled the transmitter, they’re only receiving data at the moment. And it looks like they’re receiving straight from Zymandis… assuming Zymandis is a moving point. A warship, maybe. They’re all the rage for destructive organizations. [He pauses to quirk a brow.] So, if nothing else, we know where not to go galavanting off to.

[The video feed starts up with a shot of metal hands as Zenyatta adjusts the communicator, and then eventually has it settle on a shot of him. He's his omnic self once again, and underneath a large tree in Terra Felis, the shade it casts is nice and peaceful. With a sigh, he begins.]

I apologize to those I had caused to worry, or reacted poorly to, during our last mission. I had acted very selfishly, and because of it, others felt the consequences.

[Well. He doesn't want to make this more of a pity party than it already sounds, so he tries to move on, with a slow shake of his head.]

...I hope that our friends in Oska are well, and we are here simply by a slight error. But while we are here, please let me know if there is anything I can assist anyone with, even if it is just talking, I would be happy to help.

[ with the new mission on the horizon, and a rather desperate need to keep busy and distracted, lance has decided to put together this informational psa for all those who may benefit from it.

so. like. maybe two of you. ]

Yo! So with Woodhurst coming 'round the corner, many of you probably haven't had the chance to brush up on all six films of the Brawn of the Dead series but that's okay! Your resident Zombie Apocalypse Expert is here to help you out.

[ he's watched pretty much all the zombie films available on earth, ok, he's practically a PhD. ]

While it's pretty much impossible to gain my level of expertise in the single week we have left, I managed to break down the most important things to remember during a Zombie Apocalypse. [ complete with handy, dandy infographics! (blame whoever got them the drawing app ok.) ]

Hello, world!

[Oh, who's this guy?? Surely not someone any of you have met before!! JK, there's his username, slapped on the post like it always is. But this guy's a human!! Surely there's an explanation for this!!]

This is Zenyatta. If we have met before, then you might notice I am looking very different! If we have not, I do not typically look like this. I am typically an omnic- or as you might better know, a robot.

For the most recent mission, we have the assignment of "blending in" with the population. I thought this could be an opportunity for me to learn what it would be like to live as a human.

That is also where I could use some assistance. I am still becoming accustomed to human lifestyle, but there are many things that are new to me. For example, I have noticed there are certain rules about clothing most humans follow, but it was not exactly something I thought too much about as an omnic. I typically did not wear shirts, but it seems that this might be more of a necessity, as a human?

[As are socks. Shoes. Underwear.]

Another question I have- how do humans know when they are allergic to things? How do I run some sort of diagnosis to ascertain what I should avoid?

I am sure there are much more I have yet to discover, but some guidance would be appreciated.

[The audio is a soft, almost gentle but firm presence in people's minds, insistent on getting her message across. Unfortunately, she's a bit wordy, so hopefully she doesn't lose her audience immediately.]

Good day to everyone. My name is Creaty.

I hope everyone has been doing well? With the recent events being as they are, we've all been kept on our toes more often than not.

For today, I would like to propose an idea for the general populace. Recently, with some tasks and missions I've taken up, and with the constant change in environment, I have been trying something that I thought may be worth mentioning. To put it simply, with each world that we visit, we encounter new materials that we could easily lose access to when we travel to a new place. These materials may be of some use to us as well, whether it be for battle, recovery, maintenance or the likes. I believe that this kind of thing is unfortunate, as sometimes we could also lose opportunities to maximize the results of our efforts if we have the right equipment.

So, I'm proposing the chance of recreating these materials that you may have gathered from past missions, but do not have enough to make use of. I have the ability to do such a thing, though there are limits to it. For one, it cannot be a living object, as anything that constantly changes in composition is difficult to recreate and even dangerous. This also goes for food, or anything that needs to be consumed. Another is that the more foreign the object is to me, the longer it takes me to learn to break it down. However, I am interested in not only improving my skills, but also being able to make use of what we gather from each mission to help with future missions.

I do have some conditions I'd like to impose. I would like to only be approached for things that you are certain will benefit the community, and not simply for entertainment purposes. I would also have the right to reject any items I don't deem fit to recreate, or I simply can't. If these are fine, then I'd love to be able to assist people in any way I can.

A quick question — does anyone among us have any background in synthesizing? I know the finer points of the science are probably a little beyond your evolutionary pay grade, and I’d usually know better than to run this by a bunch of humans and humans lookalikes, but, well… desperate times, as they say.

I’ve heard from the Qorral Mayor that their species hasn’t had much success with synthesizing argecite, but synthetic materials just so happens to be one of my specialties.

[ And sure, he’s had disastrous results before, but they were still results! He probably won’t accidentally make any vampire zombies here, it’s fine. ]

If any of you think you’d be of any use to efforts to engineer an artificial compound to replace argecite — synth-ar, you could say — feel free to speak up. The only hitch being that this backwater planet doesn’t have much in the way of laboratory equipment. The local blacksmith has been told to expect us stopping by with equipment requests, but I have to wonder if even that is enough. This is a ground-up operation if I’ve ever seen one.

[Considering all that's happened there isn't much Félix can do to look as presentable as he would prefer when addressing the others here, but he has done his best. His sprawl is casual in the way of someone who likely spent a good amount of time making certain his clothing fell just so and his blond hair is artfully dishevelled to frame his face. While it's not quite the level of excessive presentation that would be expected in the circles he usually moves within, it will have to do. After a moment to allow the unseen audience to take a look at him, Félix finally speaks.]

While it has been terribly interesting to see everyone arguing about what we should do here, where we should all focus our efforts and such, I can't help but wonder why it is that there doesn't seem to be anyone in charge of our... [Here he pauses delicately.] Band of heroes?

I cannot confess much experience in military matters, but even so it seems strange to me to send a company of forces anywhere without someone to report to and keep them in line. Not to mention it seems as though it would help a great deal with conflicts such as the one we're currently facing if there were a captain or commander to lead us.

[Here he holds up a hand, forestalling what he imagines will be the immediate concern on people's minds.] Please, before anyone says it, no I am not suggesting that I take on such a role. As I've said, I have no experience in such matters, nor have I interest in leading here.

I'm simply curious why it seems as though we have little rank and order here, and if there is any thought towards if there might be some among us suited for such heavy matters.

It is my understanding that we were gathered to function as a team. A concept that is, perhaps, difficult for many of us to become accustomed to, but a path we have had no choice but to take in any case.

Yet here we are, already faced with danger enough from our missions, and we are equally forced to fear one of our own as well?

Explain to me why we should endure the presence of a monster who cannot keep his nature in check. How many were injured by Koltira's hand, yet all of us remain silent.

[There's a lot of negative stuff happening on this planet, and it's not at all the same sort of friendly heartfelt journey that travelling on Zeta-12 had been. And while Luffy doesn't hate being here, it's definitely putting him in a mood for better things.

And while he's not the type to complain about an adventure, he'll just do the next best thing. Which is simple enough for the pirate captain, and for any who might listen into the short, sweet, and to-the-point voice message.]

I wanna' know about the coolest adventure you've ever gone on. Or just the coolest thing you've ever seen.

[He's quickly learning that there are thousands of worlds and places he'll never be--so naturally...
He wants to know about them. So why not share a story or two.]

((feel free to threadjack/talk amongst yourselves in this thread, too--even if Luffy will reply to every story told here himself.))

[The video startup seems pretty normal at first, until you realise that a certain freckled ginger isn't actually paying any attention whatsoever to the camera. He's sitting on one of the saloon beds, taking inventory of... snacks. Cookies, candies, fruit--even little wrapped bars of chocolate. He's talking to himself about something about 'not having enough for such a long trip', and it's only then that he realises that his bracelet is flashing with some... sort of irritating light.

He frowns, a look on his face that's pretty offended as he moves to put a hand down over it, and the video cuts off for a second, only for the screen to flip instead, to text.
Were ALASTAIR's clever little (magic?) bracelets not programmed with a thought-to-text function, it might be alright, but of course--Gaius has pretty poor luck, so instead:]

Just what I need in my life, weird gods-be-damned enchanted jewelry making eyes at me when I'm in the middle of something important.

[ Just when Rocky was starting to like this place, a temporal insect the size of a bear gets a hold of him.

Now he's getting flashbacks of an event that should be virtually impossible for him to recall. Those memories had been deleted, wiped away after a full system restoration, but now he was receiving uncontrolled bursts of input from a different time. The trouble is these are more than just unwanted pseudo-memories — he's actually re-experiencing the corruption of his system when it fell victim to the destructive T virus of his homeworld. The "glitches" are brief but only a few seconds lapse has already cost Oska two suits of armor he mistook for human.

After coming to his senses, he ran. And he's still running when the blue, triangular gem around his neck senses his need for advice and connects him to the network. Anyone receiving the signal will see a bot from the shoulders up, his TV shaped head looking this way and that in a panic as if he must avoid everyone and everything. Behind him, the world is a blur as he continues moving. Then he looks forward and his screen attempts a smile but the note of urgency is clear in his voice. ]

Rocky here! Okay, problem: Say you were bitten by a giant time bug and now you might be extremely dangerous to all living organisms. What to do you do and where do you go? Please! I don't want to hurt anyone!

[In all honesty, getting used to his magitek jewelry has been one of the easier adjustments, something that fits into his schema of the world as he’d known it before this strange sideways stumble into an entirely different place. It’s just a form of magic he hasn't seen before, right? Like cursed jewelry back home, something belonging to some little-known tribe. What’s been harder is realising he's the only one from his world here, that he'd left at such an uncertain moment only to find himself among complete strangers in every sense of the word. There doesn't seem to be another Deimos among them.

It doesn't help that so many of you look so damned human.

Once again, his isolation weighs heavy on him, though in a different way than it had in his own world. The fact that he can't verbally communicate with anyone here only makes it worse, more intense. Perhaps one way of lessening the impact is to reach out to the rest of the 'team' via the jewelry, find out how many others there are who occupy a similar position to his own, if any at all.]

Well this is fun, eh? A bunch of people thrown together in a situation where we can't even talk to each other, and yet somehow we're supposed to be working as a team. What a worthless place this is shaping up to be.

Well, I have some questions for you, and if this is the only way to be understood then so be it. How many of you are the only ones from your world? More importantly, how many of you are something other than human? If I have to be stuck here then I wanna know that it's not just gonna be me amid a sea of overgrown monkeys.

[Because despite how rude he sounds, he doesn’t want to go through this this again. To be the only one who stands out as so obviously different on top of everything else. It's only just started to really sink in that he may be stuck here for a while.]

Well now. This is all hell of a thing -- ALASTAIR, savin' worlds, temporal bugs full of acid an' whatnot -- but I've got a bit of a conundrum.

I'm a man of many skills, but a cobbler? Oh, far from it. And I've a pair of boots that are a bit in need of a rescue. Suppose I could take what I've been generously given by your very fine organization, but these are a bit near an' dear to my heart.

I don't suppose any of you wondrously talented individuals could help me out? I'd be very much obliged.
