[ There's a brief beat of nothing before the image focuses on a goat with really big horns that appears to be...eating rubble. It is, in fact, taking large bites out of rocks and chewing it slowly as it stares at the camera (or the person holding the magitech) balefully.

and then the camera switches to Loki, though the goat is still visible in the background. It really is a very, very large goat. like, bear-sized goat. ]

Yes, good job, congratulations, and well done to all of us, I'm sure. And as our efforts to rebuild continue, I would like to point out that someone seems to have misplaced their, ah, pet. If this one is anything at all like the ones I was once familiar with, I would caution any and all who might come across it to take care.

[ As he speaks, the goat has wandered over, and is now trying to take a bite out of Loki's hair. ]

By the Nine.

[ Loki shoves it away, and the goat glares at him again, Loki glaring right back, before it belches out a small plume of fire. Luckily, there's nothing flammable in the immediate vicinity and it goes back to chewing grumpily on more stones. ]

Thor. Odinson. Come retrieve this ridiculous creature before I rend its flesh from its bones and enjoy it for dinner.

Have you been here long?

[mistruths]

Not as long as some others, but it has been some time. I arrived shortly before the mission to Perdition's Rest.

And where are you from?

[ Now that there's apparently a distinction between Asgard and Asgardia. ]

[mistruths]

[ Now that's a question that's...difficult to answer. But for all intents and purposes, until someone pokes holes into his story, he shall say ]

Asgard.

[scarletcast]

[ So if anyone is likely to be the Loki she knows, it's him. ]

I have heard of it. And you. But only in passing.

[ Everyone knows the Norse myths, don't they? She doesn't have to talk about being an Avenger. ]

They say you can do magic.

[mistruths]

[ Of course she has. After all, he is a god. ]

I can.

[ And he's proud of it. Loki has worked hard to be as skilled as he is at what he does. ]

Are you interested in such things?

[scarletcast]

I am.

[ And she, likewise, doesn't tone down her interest. ]

I am said to do magic as well.

[mistruths]

You sound confused. Unsure.

[ why "I am said to do" instead of "I do" afterall ]

[scarletcast]

There is a lot in this world no one can understand or explain. Am I to assume it is magic because someone else says so?

[ She shakes her head, with a faint, cool smile. ]

I can demonstrate for you.

[mistruths]

Please do.

[scarletcast]

[ Over the video, her hex energy weaves around her fingers. The nearest paperweight flies towards her hand. Wanda catches it easily. ]

Interesting.

[ And he does, actually, sound interested. Not least because that sort of magic reminds him of his own--but not really. Closer, at least, than some of the other methods of magic he's seen demonstrated here. ]

How were you trained?

[scarletcast]

I was not. This power is new to me.

[mistruths]

And you've yet to destroy blow this place sky high or turn anyone green... I'm impressed.

[scarletcast]

[ She makes a soft, coolly amused noise. ]

I cannot turn anyone green.

[ A beat. ]

Yet.

[ She's so funny. ]

[mistruths]

It's only a matter of time.

[scarletcast]

[ Her mouth curves up slowly. The smile reaches her eyes. ]

Perhaps I will try on you first.

[mistruths]

Green is my color.

[scarletcast]

[ And red is hers. They go well together. ]

What of your magic? Will you demonstrate, if I asked?

[mistruths]

I could be persuaded to do so. Will you come to me, then?
