Hello, Audentes. For those of you I have yet to meet, my name is Lucina. I come bearing news.

I have spoken to a Zymandis agent. They are here, alone, and the jewelcomms are what notified her to our presence; she was willing to answer my questions, and in return, asked the same of me. The following is what I learned:

They seem believe that the Timeline is ill; the multiverse no longer has the energy to sustain itself, and will eventually meet its demise. Given this, their mission is to destroy everything, so that the Timeline will be reborn stronger. [ Those familiar with her should know there's a certain level of anger in her tone, text or otherwise. ] At least, this is what their Timeline.exe has told them— not only so, the original Timeline.exe, as well as its "update", were created by the same individual: Theodor Arbatel, their "Leader".

If anything requires clarification, I will try my best to answer them.

The ... voice from the jewelcomm also called him "pompous", and that he deemed many things necessary. [ Any information is important, she figures. ]

The agent does not seem to be afraid of us, by any means. She ... comes in peace, I suppose would be the appropriate phrase here. If nothing else, she was curious about ALASTAIR.

So he's a snobby old windbag who ticked our ALASTAIR predecessors off enough to make em branch out. That sounds pretty consistent with everything else we've been told so far.

Like what? A deserter? Or... a defector?

[As skeptical as he is about trusting anyone Zymandis, it's not outside the realm of possibility that she'd be interested, at least.]

... Not exactly. [ This is what she gets for trying to make a "hip" reference, probably. ]

I was alluding to the fact that she seemed to view our conversation as an ... exchange of information, as opposed to being hostile.

Interesting. None of the things you told her are as useful as what she gave us, though. An uneven trade... not that I'll complain if it's in our favor.

She was surprised when she heard that we do not have a chain of command. [ But then, so was Lucina. So maybe that doesn't actually say much. ] Though aside from that... I do not believe I have said anything else particularly of note.

Good. In that case, thanks for checking in on our friend. And for playing it close to the vest. She doesn't SOUND like she was too suspect, but it might be a good idea to keep on keeping an eye on her anyway.
