Hello, Audentes. For those of you I have yet to meet, my name is Lucina. I come bearing news.

I have spoken to a Zymandis agent. They are here, alone, and the jewelcomms are what notified her to our presence; she was willing to answer my questions, and in return, asked the same of me. The following is what I learned:

They seem believe that the Timeline is ill; the multiverse no longer has the energy to sustain itself, and will eventually meet its demise. Given this, their mission is to destroy everything, so that the Timeline will be reborn stronger. [ Those familiar with her should know there's a certain level of anger in her tone, text or otherwise. ] At least, this is what their Timeline.exe has told them— not only so, the original Timeline.exe, as well as its "update", were created by the same individual: Theodor Arbatel, their "Leader".

If anything requires clarification, I will try my best to answer them.

Otherwise... bribery, threats, and blackmail would all be viable options, if I had to hazard a guess. [ Brainwashing had been a popular theory, but both Percy and their latest "friend" proved that otherwise. Unless they're particularly convincing. ]

I doubt they're being forced. We can't go in believing they're being forced. I've had the feeling from the moment I got here that they believed they were doing good.

Can you really deny that's how this woman felt? Feels, I guess.

She's following her supervisor's orders. She told me she believes what her superiors believe. [ As opposed to thoughts of her own. Or thoughts that she wholeheartedly believes. ]

I agree — we cannot assume that the people working for Zymandis are people we can ... liberate. However, it would be foolish for us to discount the possibility entirely.

If we go at it the wrong way, we might not understand why they believe what they believe.

Even if their goal is bad, we don't know what they've been told. I think starting there is gonna matter a lot.
