It seems this world is similar to my own.
I will take your questions, before one of you ends up causing an incident.
If you plan to actually attempt to blend in here... find me. You will need far more than just words to guide you.
[No offense, but she's seen how some of you act... and some of your dressing attempts.
Though her attempt at offering to help maybe isn't that much better.]

[A name for a name.
That gives her something to think about, at least. But if this place is as similar to her own world as it seems so far... there really isn't a job she can think of that can go anywhere. Even a messenger, who would travel place to place... they wouldn't get past the first room.]
Which places?
no subject
I don't know. Any place you think would be important enough to need to get into?
[ not that her portals are... all that discreet... but. ]
no subject
But that is near impossible to gain access to. Even courtiers who have served for years rarely reach a rank that allows them to see the emperor and empress from anything but the courtyards or the audience halls.

What is it you look like?
--> video
Like this.
[ eyes unnaturally large, green. pointed ears. a facial marking make up can only barely hide. ]
no subject
I imagine that will be a problem it you wished to gain entrance to the mansions and palaces.
[But she does attempt to think of something...]
Can you play an instrument? Tell fortunes?
no subject
I can.. pretend I can? [ she's sorry she's so useless, hayame orz ]
no subject
There are blind diviners who hide their eyes from others. Or nuns, who wear cowls that would disguise your ears.
I know a sutra or two I could impart...
[don't mind her now she's just brainstorming out loud]
no subject
Uh — yeah, sign me up. Whatever works.
[ except— ]
Is there a way to cover my eyes without... making me unable to see?
no subject
If the cloth was thin enough I suppose you could still see decently enough.
no subject
Right. So what do I do? Make stuff up?

And if they realize I'm a fake? How's this place on corporal punishment...
no subject
[That usually causes a distraction...]
no subject
Usually I'm trying not to draw attention... but okay.
[ this is all super helpful, anyway. ]
So what kind of clothing would a fortune teller wear?
no subject
[Or so she figures, at least- best to have good attendants, though.]
Whites, primarily. As if performing ablutions.
[Is she aware that she's not the best at explaining these things?]
no subject
[ hang on, let's take a moment for that. ]
Cool.

[ but okok. focus, clarice. ]
So — white clothes. Gotcha. Do I need any, like... props?
no subject
A beaded necklace... there is a black box, but supplicants are not permitted to see within it, so I doubt you'll need to actually create an inugami for it.
no subject
[ and now for some blank staring. ]
What's an inugami?
no subject
[you know, normal things]
no subject
[ totes. ]
Yeah, well hopefully I won't be going anywhere that'll require a hellhound bodyguard. But good to know I can always bluff having one around.
