VIDEO / USERNAME: LEVI

[ with his wrist raised to grant the magic bracelet a view of his stern face, the backdrop of his makeshift stable in the outskirts, it's apparent that Levi hasn't gone to any special preparations to make this announcement. however, he also hasn't wasted any time between the offer of Arthur's and now to corral ALASTAIR attention of his own. they've waited long enough. ]

The Order of the Chimera would have us plan a jailbreak for tomorrow.

And keen as I'm not on caving to the demands of terrorists, unlike that disaster in the streets a few weeks ago, this time we have the foresight to organize ourselves. I know some of you have your doubts. But whether or not we're helping those fools out in the process, where I'm concerned, we can't leave our people hanging in the balance.

So while the rest of you figure out how to deal with Michel, I say we combine our efforts.

[ simultaneous operations or otherwise, their downfall is being uninformed or unprepared for each others' movements. and while it may not be clear, due to a number of circumstances in which he's seen some less than reputable behavior among recruits... ] Our success hinges on snipping every loose thread.

To account for that, our most suitable people should lead the operation. But don't take it personally. Organized into squads, we can draw on all of our recruits' unique strengths. That includes you rookies.

I know the lot of you may not be so bent on following orders willy nilly, but be reasonable. We'll receive no higher guidance with ALASTAIR leaving us to our own devices, and we've got better chances in a team willing to ally themselves with loyalty than in a disjointed mob of lone wolves. Take heed to the fact that your cooperation with each other will determine the fate of our teammates' lives.

[ now then. with that out of the way, the next matter at hand is the allocation of these squads. ]

Riza. Pearl. Lend me a hand, will you? [ this is his way of saying he deems you two "suitable." ]

The rest of you: a basic rundown of your abilities would be of help. I'm not gonna force your hand, but we need to sort ourselves out somehow.

[ and considering the influx of new recruits as well as the existence of those he's yet to meet: ] My name's Levi. I'll be working to man the assault. If those two agree to it, they'll help me manage you lot, so speak up to one of us if you need something.

( ooc; this is an IC plotting/organization post for jailbreak shenanigans! threadjacking and posting your own threads is welcome and encouraged.

the squads will be focused on support (pearl) and assault (levi & riza) but it is up to you and your characters which you want to join up with. we could also really use some coordination efforts. that said, you're free to make your own, be a rebel and not help at all, or anything else you can think of. go wild. c: )

Huh!!

[Papyrus is now imagining Rin probably just radiates magical energy... and wants to know if she's good at hugging. ]

All the books in the Librarby...

[...Yes, he said that that way on purpose. ]

...never said anything about humans being able to produce magical energy, but I guess that makes sense! I mean, how else would they put up magical barriers?

[She might be...

Saying that, though, it's a little hard to miss where all of Papyrus' claims are eventually hinting. Rin becomes somewhat serious. Her voice is just as steady and even as it is understanding, dropped to a tone that reveals her care.]

The reason you don't like barriers so much... is because humans once did something very terrible with them to you monsters, isn't it?

...

Well! If you want a monster history lesson, I've read a lot about what happened in our past!
defenceless: (tsundere and cold)

I'm interested in it, but only if you want to share.

SORRY LEVI MUN..... JUST... SPAMMING YOUR POST LIKE THIS...

[personal profile] boneafide 2015-12-13 07:36 am (UTC)(link)
[ He doesn't want to outright blame humans for what they did... even if it is the fault of some humans. But to just outright say "yes, they did something awful to us" would be against trying to be an Ambassador of the Monsters to humans. ]

Over a thousand years ago, a war broke out between humans and monsters. Both sides fought really hard! Over... something. I don't really know what. But even when the monsters tried their best... Monster souls just aren't as strong as human ones. The humans won, and sealed all monsters underground behind a magic barrier.

B-But it's gone now! We're all working on putting the past behind us! I really like the surface, and humans!!
defenceless: (beach walking)

IT'S OK she won't mind, trust me

[personal profile] defenceless 2015-12-14 01:00 am (UTC)(link)
Oh...

[Rin sighs, relieved at hearing the full story. It's not a sigh of happiness—it's unfortunate, what happened to monsters like Papyrus.

What's worse is that she could easily imagine a situation in which magi from her world would chose to do the same as the humans in his.

Humans come before anything non-human, right? They are not meant to live in the open. Their presence would mess up human society. It couldn't be said without a doubt that life would be safe for the humans. So, away the monsters must go.

But Papyrus is awfully kind.]

I'm glad the barrier's gone. You and the other monsters are strong. It's difficult to forgive humans, sometimes.

alrighty!!

[personal profile] boneafide 2015-12-14 01:12 am (UTC)(link)
It's difficult to forgive in general, sometimes. Humans do things, and monsters do things- neither one are more right or wrong than the other! We might not have been trapped if it weren't for humans... but we wouldn't have been freed, if it weren't for humans either.

[ Frisk...

This is what Frisk would want him to do. ]

That's why it's so important we work together here too! That's why we can't give up on getting the humans and goblins here to get along!
defenceless: (judging you so hard)

[personal profile] defenceless 2015-12-14 02:50 am (UTC)(link)
[Really? Humans were responsible for breaking the barrier, as well? It's an unexpectedly bright note to the end of the tale.

She smiles to herself.]

—I couldn't have said it better myself. Maybe it's not exactly the same, but there has to be similarities between humans and monsters and the humans and goblins of Chantes. You should try to talk to them, Papyrus. The goblins.

[personal profile] boneafide 2015-12-14 02:56 am (UTC)(link)
I- I could! Maybe if they heard what happened to the Underground, they'd try to get along better.

I definitely am Great! ... But I'm not really a leader though.

[personal profile] defenceless 2015-12-14 03:00 am (UTC)(link)
You wouldn't have to be a leader. We could work together, or you could even ask other ALASTAIR recruits to join us.

[Hey, it's part of the overall Chantes mission. Even the grumpiest of Grumpy Guses couldn't fight that.]
boneafide: (18)

[personal profile] boneafide 2015-12-14 04:22 am (UTC)(link)
Right! Of course!! The more people we have working together on this- the more likely we are to succeed! They'll be more likely to listen if it's a group of us, speaking as one, right?
defenceless: (archer is lame)

[personal profile] defenceless 2015-12-14 04:40 pm (UTC)(link)
I think so.

We would still have to be very careful. It's not the same situation, but... in some ways, I think it's easier. We need to stop things now, before both sides do something neither can ever forgive. And there's also the matter of the Order; those who are half-human, but half-goblin, too.
boneafide: (21)

[personal profile] boneafide 2015-12-14 05:10 pm (UTC)(link)
... There's half-human, half-goblins????

[ THAT'S KIND OF BLOWING HIS MIND?? ]

Hugoblin?? Gomans?????
defenceless: (crawling on shirou)

[personal profile] defenceless 2015-12-15 07:46 am (UTC)(link)
There is.

[He probably would have mentioned it if the same combinations were possible with monsters and humans...]

They make up the Order of the Chimera. I'm not sure if all of them do. It might be helpful to find a few of them that are willing to work for peace.
boneafide: (1)

[personal profile] boneafide 2015-12-15 10:37 pm (UTC)(link)
Do you know any of their names? Or where I can find the Order??

[personal profile] defenceless 2015-12-16 04:11 am (UTC)(link)
Arthur— But he's shady, so don't talk to him. And Michel is a dangerous lunatic. He's even worse. The outskirts of the city is a good bet?
boneafide: (pic#9770156)

[personal profile] boneafide 2015-12-16 05:10 am (UTC)(link)
... So talk to anyone but Arthur or Michel?

[ Although it's tempting now. To specifically find those two. And talk to him. Now you know why Sans has his hands full. ]
defenceless: (oh god)

[personal profile] defenceless 2015-12-16 06:52 pm (UTC)(link)
You know, you should... [Ugh.] Let's just look for some of the Order members together. After the jailbreak is all said and done with.

[Tee Tee Why El...?]

Okay... [God, be careful, Papyrus.] Yes, bye. Tee Tee... Why El.

[It sounds as awkward as you'd think.]
