These rifts affecting a single guild member...do they happen often? I had found myself suddenly back in my own universe for some time, with no memory of having joined Hathaway, only to return before I-- nevermind.

[this is voice for a reason because while there is disappointment in her tone, she'd rather not show it to the rest of the guild. it's something she'll get to when her time with Hathaway feels like it's been completed.]

I realize I have been gone for only a handful of days, and merely wanted to inform everyone that I have returned.

[and because as A Leader Type she can't help herself:]

Hopefully we are all already thinking of our aliases for the upcoming mission.

It appears others and my friends have experienced similar glitches. So at the very least, it is not uncommon.

But yes, I am well. A bit jumbled up in terms of timelines but I...should be used to that by now, I guess.

It is good that you are unharmed.

If I might ask, what was the experience like?

[juniberries]

It is rather difficult to explain, but it's like waking up from a night of not dreaming. One tick you're here, on the Hathaway, and the next you are returned to your universe as though you had never left.

Upon returning, you remember everything. Both of what you've done with Hathaway and what you've accomplished upon returning to your universe, and what had been several spicolian movements back home had only been a few days here.

[a pause, and she clears her throat.]

I've...admittedly been through stranger time rifts.

[reposing]

[That's... honestly utterly fascinating. He knows of the concepts of space and time, different realities, and different worlds, but he's never experienced any of that himself until now.

He hums, curious.]

Odder than that? How so?

I had once been caught in a seemingly endless time rift where I watched my advisor age backwards, while I was immune to its effects.

[also that time when they went through a dimensional rift which took them to an alternate universe but that was actually Way More Personal of an experience and she's not going to talk about that AU because she winds up being the bad guy, essentially.]

...That. Is exceptionally odd.

Time and space are already complicated matters, but when those aspects are torn, I can only imagine the oddities that could form. I've not experienced anything like that, but my father always had theories and ideas.

My father had helped discover the potential for other realities and dimensions by mere chance. But even then it is something we do not fully understand.
