[ This time around, Alice doesn't look as awkward addressing the network. Curled up in a dark blue cloak, Alice gives a small, awkward wave. ]
Hello.
[ She wonders what some may think of her now, given how calm she is. Alice usually isn't one for starting up conversations and it shows how she seems to fidget in her seat. ]
We must have new "recruits", I can't say I remember any of you from when I first arrived. I'm not good at introductions, forgive me -- my name is Alice Liddell. But I didn't want to address others to introduce myself.
I imagine that some of you may have had your clothing sullied or tattered from what transpired a few days ago with our little excursion. [ Far too polite, considering some of ALASTAIR's own are far from noble and composed. ]
I do have an offer. If you're mindful of your budget, and... other things, such as keeping from authorities, I would like to offer my services to tend to garments. I'm not the most renowned seamstress, but it is very customary where I come from young girls are taught many things, including sewing. I don't ask for anything in return; I don't want anything. It's the least I can do for some of you, who have been held for two weeks. I'll even clean garments for those of you who haven't gotten the chance in the past few weeks.
[ Alice pauses and adds- ]
And, I must note, despite offering such a generous offer, I will only do so, for a small while, as long as some of us -- or most of us -- are looking to be discreet. Indeed, there are vendors who are willing to provide, though they may be looking at this as means to exploit us for a profit. Alternatively, the goblins maybe one venue if you're looking for new clothes to begin with. At least they seem reasonable when it comes to pricing, I've noticed.

A small smile plays on her lips. ]
Is that so?
[ How cute, she thinks. He almost sounds smitten -- well, that is what smitten people sound like, isn't it? ]
You're being polite, I hope.

That's where I was last night.. she is staying in this inn a few floors above us. Ah, she was hardly wearing any clothes-- I don't really know why .. I don't really care..!
[ Gintoki. ]
Oiiiii, I'd be cold if i were wearing what she was wearing– I almost saw her ****, my ****s would freeze off! Alice-chaaan, is it rude to ask if I could warm her up? I could easily **** if she really wanted— or we could **** and **** each other if she really wanted to, I wouldn't mind, as long as *******s are involved I am not very picky!
How do you let girls like that know about these kind of things..?
[ Gintoki mutters, pressing his palms to his face, suddenly looking rather ill. He's speaking more to himself at this point. ]
Ughhh, I feel so sick— I definitely had damn too much...
[ alice please help him... somehow .. ]

She takes back her "cute" comment. If he was sober, Alice would have tossed something at him for being so raunchy. ]
Stop. I don't want to hear anymore.
[ Sick? She figures the best solution may be water -- it's what Nanny always offered to her patrons or to them when they were ill as children. About less than a minute later, Alice comes back over with water from a canister, heaving a sigh. ]
Drink some water, Mr. Gin.

[ The goodie-good feeling he was having when he first came through the door has taken a turn for the worst as he starts to feel queasy. Hold it all in, Gintoki. Alice might notice his eyes are flickering, presumably following the room that was beginning to spin.
His hand bats about before he grips the canister, taking the water to nurse on it. His gaze looks pretty empty as he looks at the floor, probably focusing on not vomiting. ]
'Ey. Do you think people from my place will come here too?

She hopes wherever he comes from, he has good friends and family, unlike her. She wonders now, too, if anyone would come. But Nanny seems like a poor candidate, as much as Alice misses her and hope she's well. ]
I don't see why not, whenever that may be.
[ She wants to try and reassure him, if he is worried or lonely. ]
It seems quite a few people are following others into this world.

It's filled with a bunch of morons. [ He drinks more water, closing his eyes again.
He missed it. He missed Kagura creeping into his futon in the early hours because she can't sleep and her annoying demands for pickled seaweed as soon as she wakes up. He misses Shinpachi's nagging and his constant straight man routine of the situation— even him screaming at him cause they haven't gotten paid yet. He misses Otose and her empty threats to evict him because his rent is two weeks late— Tama and Catherine, who also threatens to take it from him when he isn't looking.
He misses Hasegawa and drinking with him— even hearing the same pitiful story he has to tell and how Gintoki has heard it a thousand times, yet, won't allow him to commit suicide over it. He misses Katsura who persistently catches him on the street and insists he joins the Jouishishi rebellion cause he was such a good warrior in the past.
Even the polic—
Okay, well. He doesn't really miss the Shinsengumi that much, but he would find an argument with them refreshing.
He even misses Sarutobi, too, stalking him and throwing herself shamelessly at him no matter how much he thinks she's gross. Even getting beat up by Otae and Kyuubei for saying something disgusting like he often does. He misses Tsukuyo— he'd even take her in a dangerous and drunken state just to see her pretty face again.
The list goes on.
But they're all morons he has helped in the past with all sorts of things. Anybody from home he would probably feel some kind of sense of relief and maybe even happiness depending on who they were.
Gintoki is accustomed to being alone, though. Sometimes when he is feeling intoxicated, though, it's hard for him to conceal it like he usually does. Then, he adds: ]
I just want them all safe.

It's the closest she'll ever get to outright hugging him or anyone else for that matter. This is cruel, it's unfair. How can things be the way the are to uproot people from their homes? Silently, Alice sits there, pulling her hand back in her lap. Anything she does now feels so helpless to fix this.
But that doesn't mean she won't try. ]
I think that they'll know what to do to ensure their safety, because you do so well to help others.
[ She's still very grateful for him, swooping in the way he did that Alice feels the need to look after him just as much, in return. ]
They'll be safe and someday, you'll be able to return to them, Mr. Gin.
1.2
I won't settle for a big dump in the middle of the floor because they can't take care of a damn animal.
[ He feels that hand of hers on his, though, and it takes him by surprise. He doesn't respond to it, other than looking at it with his usual half lidded, uninterested eyes. Gintoki isn't a very touchy person himself, and just before she retreats her hand back, he does manage to skirt his thumb over her knuckles briefly to return her affection.
Ugh. He felt sick— and sad. It was such a pitiful display, and a feeling of remorse was boiling up in him. He really didn't want Alice to see him intoxicated, but he knew it was going to happen eventually, especially with how persistent she wanted to be with him. Though, it leads him to another thought. When he goes back to see them, does that mean he won't be able to see Alice anymore? The fact that she will be by herself— without a him as her friend— it worries him.
He hiccups again. ]
You're a good young woman— you have a lot to live for.
[ And he hopes you make plenty of other friends— somebody back from your home who could possibly replace him while he continues to live his life. ]
Dream bigger than you can imagine. Even if it means you have to fly.
[ Gintoki hiccups again, then groans. He thinks maybe he needs to just burrow his head into the pillow again, so he does, shifting so his back is facing Alice and his head is buried in the pillow so no light can reach his tired eyes. ]
2.2
I'm going to lose it, I think.
[ please he doesn't want to vomit on the bed. ]
no subject
[ Half joking, half serious. There's only so much she can surmise from that. But she wonders what his friends are like and how his home is.
This is the second time she's been called a woman rather than a girl. She was really never regarded as an adult in her world, only a child, someone who wasn't at all independent. The truth was, the Chantes gave her more independence than she knew, the most in her life. Smiling softly, Alice shifts up before she gets lost in her feelings, scampering across the room to fetch a pail. ]
Mister Gin, be sure you sit up slowly and don't press yourself.
[ She assumed that being drunk was no different from being physically ill innocently enough. As much as she was used to cleaning up after children when sick, Alice makes no point to linger close if Gin is really going to be vomiting. ]
I really do hope that you'll try to eat something after this.
cw: barf i guess.....
Though, this makes him feel better and he sets the pail aside, running the back of his hand across his lips. ]
Nngh.. [ not even cake sounded good right now? ]
Sleep first, then eat.
[ There he goes, sinking down into the bed and trying to bundle himself up. It looks rather pitiful, but he's gathering every pillow— every blanket— and basically making a little mountain around his head with his lower half of his body sticking out.
Bye, Gin-san. ]
no subject
As soon as Alice steps back into the room, she sees Gin bundled up awkwardly. Alice lets out a small sigh. ]
Oh, honestly, you couldn't cover your feet?
[ She knows he's possibly passed out, though she still keeps talking to him, as Alice fusses over him, splaying another blanket over his feet. Well, it is cold. It's a usual switch, usually Alice preoccupies herself with the bed, but she has no real complaints about it.
After all, she has the awkward habit of sleeping under the bed, something she grew to do in the asylum and well into early adulthood. Should he be asleep, she'll leave him there. For now, Alice goes back to sewing. ]
