( graham doesn't like using the video feature much, so mostly he avoids it. people might recognize his username, though, he hasn't been silent on the network that connects members of ALISTAIR. in fact now that he's a fugitive he has a bit too much time to flip through messages, though that's neither here nor there.

still, the fact he's using it means he does so with a purpose. after Sakura encountered him in the woods, he doesn't see a better way to get his message to everyone that needs to hear it. hopefully the townsfolk themselves will just stay away, and his brother is clever enough to stay clear of people that might hurt him. he's smart and wary of humans, it doesn't seem impossible he'll manage on it's own. it just feels dangerous to leave him out on his own without trying to assure people the wolf is not a threat. )

A friend of mine came from home. I hear that happens on occasion.

( Graham tilts his pendant enough to capture the wolf in the feed, just long enough for the details to be picked up. a vibrant red eye, white and gray fur. a little too friendly with a human, one could argue, as the wolf is looking up at him with an open-mouth grin, much like a dog. )

He's not a threat to humans. He'll more than likely run if you get too close to him, but all the same. If you see him, don't hurt him. He won't hurt you unless you threaten him.

( the wolf still has instincts enough that he will fight if he feels he has to for survival. being so close to a human has tempered many of his wilder instincts, yet the wolf is still and will always be a wolf. )

If you hurt him despite this message I promise you'll regret it.

( there's a steel edge to that threat that is very sincere. Graham was a better man than the Hunstman ever claimed to boast, and the wolf is about all the family he's ever had. if someone is bold enough to try and harm him (or worse), they'll have a dedicated hunter after them, and a ruthless one at that.

with that the video feed closes. if there are questions, they'll likely be answered via text. )

( he's not one to harm anything he doesn't have to, not anymore... but, still. good will begets good will, and all that.

though the last bit gives him a slight bit of pause. witches have not been good to him, after all. )

It was a boon granted me by our employers, but it may be easiest to explain as a familiar, yes.

I wonder how they decide who gets these boons. I didn't ask for my wolf to appear here, he simply was.

( kinda funny. Graham isn't sure what to think about that. )

I assumed that it was meant to placate us. They do not return us to our world, but grant us... Concessions.

[Part of her almost even thinks it's working.]

a waste of their energy, as they have little need to placate me.

( he can't go back to Storybrooke any longer, so better or worse he's committed to helping ALISTAIR... though he can't say he trusts them yet. )

why some of us and not all of us? it's ... odd.

If they are so powerful as they seem, perhaps they are watching us. Perhaps they are rewards. I could not say.

[As disturbing as it was to consider that they were possibly under surveillance...]

I wouldn't be surprised if they are watching us, but they seem to care little when it comes down to it.

( he's not sure ALISTAIR would have stepped in for those incarcerated, from how he hears it only fellow recruits were responsible for the jail break. )

[She shakes her head irritably before straightening up- had to look proper for an introduction.]

what does it mean, to be the Green Witch?

( she does not seem very green to him, and the only green witch he knows of is a wicked one. )

In my world, the Green Witch's lineage is one of healing- as opposed to those who focus their powers elsewhere.

[She's not used to explaining it, but it doesn't get her burned at the stake here, so...]

( he's not a fan of witches, but mostly because he's used to magic being used for evil. the idea of someone that focused on healing does set him a bit more at ease. )

healing magic. that's very noble. I'm sure you'll find no short supply of people that could use that sort of aide.

... Unfortunately, my skills have seen much use, here, yes.

usually things are not so grim as the jail break, but I cannot say I haven't witnessed unnecessary violence, here.

( it's part of why he's so nervous about his wolf being unsupervised. )

The riots before the false imprisonment were likewise violent- but I have no solution as to what can be done to curb such things.

the animosity between the goblins and humans is not a problem easily solved, I'm afraid.

( conflict comes too quickly and peace seems quite distant. )

that does not make it any less noble to help those that need it.

It is not. ... But it is merely my duty, I need no praise. Unlike others, I cannot fight.

[There had to be some reason that ALASTAIR had chosen her, she supposes.]

one could argue it is our duty to help each other, but I find that not many people do.
I'd rather be able to heal than to hurt, I simply did not get much of a choice.

Anyone can learn to heal, should their hands be steady and their intentions set.

I'm not... magical. I know a few conventional methods, but I'm not sure I could learn any magical ones.

Not all have the gift of magic, that's true-

But knowledge of herbs and the body can do much.

I keep a workshop above the apothecary in the western marketplace. Or, if your... friend is more comfortable outside, we could meet out near the woodland border.

He manages inside for a few hours at a time all right, but the wood might be better.

( as long as they're careful. seeing as he's a fugitive now. )
