( graham doesn't like using the video feature much, so mostly he avoids it. people might recognize his username, though, he hasn't been silent on the network that connects members of ALISTAIR. in fact now that he's a fugitive he has a bit too much time to flip through messages, though that's neither here nor there.

still, the fact he's using it means he does so with a purpose. after Sakura encountered him in the woods, he doesn't see a better way to get his message to everyone that needs to hear it. hopefully the townsfolk themselves will just stay away, and his brother is clever enough to stay clear of people that might hurt him. he's smart and wary of humans, it doesn't seem impossible he'll manage on it's own. it just feels dangerous to leave him out on his own without trying to assure people the wolf is not a threat. )

A friend of mine came from home. I hear that happens on occasion.

( Graham tilts his pendant enough to capture the wolf in the feed, just long enough for the details to be picked up. a vibrant red eye, white and gray fur. a little too friendly with a human, one could argue, as the wolf is looking up at him with an open-mouth grin, much like a dog. )

He's not a threat to humans. He'll more than likely run if you get too close to him, but all the same. If you see him, don't hurt him. He won't hurt you unless you threaten him.

( the wolf still has instincts enough that he will fight if he feels he has to for survival. being so close to a human has tempered many of his wilder instincts, yet the wolf is still and will always be a wolf. )

If you hurt him despite this message I promise you'll regret it.

( there's a steel edge to that threat that is very sincere. Graham was a better man than the Hunstman ever claimed to boast, and the wolf is about all the family he's ever had. if someone is bold enough to try and harm him (or worse), they'll have a dedicated hunter after them, and a ruthless one at that.

with that the video feed closes. if there are questions, they'll likely be answered via text. )

I'm glad you've got something to keep you company, then.

( he never had toys as a child but he doesn't need to have that experience to know it might be a small comfort for a young girl in a place with few to spare. )

It's not actually Kero-chan. But....even so. I'm glad.

[That much she is grateful for. Some small reminder of home. The same way she imagines he is with his wolf companion showing up here.]

Kero-chan... is that a toy from home?

( she looks a bit sad for it to be a toy, he thinks... but sometimes he's not good at reading these things. )

A toy? He sort of looks like one. But he's actually one of the two Guardians of the Clow cards. He rules over the ones under the power of the sun, while Yue-san rules over the cards under the moon. His real form is more like....a lion with wings.

[Sure, Kero could be aglutton and childish at times, but he was always there when she needed him, always helping her and advising her as she caught the various cards over time.]

( sometimes when he speaks to her he forgets her magical history. she seems very much like a little girl, it's hard to remember. )

It must be nice to have a reminder of a friend from home, then.

( nice and a little painful, in his experience... but he wouldn't give up his reminders for anything, even if they are bittersweet. )

It is. It's....it's something, even if he and my other friends and family aren't here. Now we both have something from home!

[Trying to focus on the positives, at least.]

That's true, we do.

( as odd and disorienting as all of this is, he's glad to have his wolf. and he's glad she's got something that reminds her of better times, too. )

I wonder what everyone else got. It wasn't just me last time when I found out I could heal either.

[Of course, with this, now she's curious as ever.]

There's at least two, between you and me. I'll keep an ear out for others if you like.

( he's not totally sure what these gifts even mean, but, maybe it would be wise to keep track of how they come and go. )

Ah, yes! It might help to see if there's some sort of pattern. Or just be useful in general, knowing what others might have got too. We are supposed to be working together! That's why I tried to let everyone know about my healing before.

They gave you a new spell?

( he hopes he doesn't end up with something like that. honestly, he's happier without magic, even if it can be used for good. )

You're right, it doesn't hurt to keep track. I'll let you know if I find anything.

Yup! So if people get hurt, I can help them get better. Or, at least help with it not being so serious anyway. I haven't really tested it much yet. The limits it might have.

[But it is something at least. Some other way she can help if necessary. Also potentially a way to help convince her to keep out of the thick of things, so she can still help those injured.]

That could be helpful.

( not that he enjoys the idea of a little girl being a field medic, but healing magic is a good kind to have. )

Just take care not to overwork yourself, Sakura. I've seen healing magic before, it can take a lot out of someone.

I think I'll figure out any limits pretty quickly. How many I can heal, or how serious an injury I can work with. I'll be careful.

[So she says now when it isn't chaos and she wants to help somehow without necessarily helping on the front lines, as it were.]

All right. I hope that you are. We'd all worry after you if something went wrong.

( he knows she doesn't want that so if not for her own sake, perhaps for the rest of them she'll try. )

Ah, I don't want to worry anyone. So -- So I will! I'll try.

( he'll take her at her word. she may be a child, but he has no reason not to. )
