[There's a lot of negative stuff happening on this planet, and it's not at all the same sort of friendly heartfelt journey that travelling on Zeta-12 had been. And while Luffy doesn't hate being here, it's definitely putting him in a mood for better things.
And while he's not the type to complain about an adventure, he'll just do the next best thing. Which is simple enough for the pirate captain, and for any who might listen into the short, sweet, and to-the-point voice message.]
I wanna' know about the coolest adventure you've ever gone on. Or just the coolest thing you've ever seen.
[He's quickly learning that there are thousands of worlds and places he'll never be--so naturally...
He wants to know about them. So why not share a story or two.]
((feel free to threadjack/talk amongst yourselves in this thread, too--even if Luffy will reply to every story told here himself.))

3/3
[nice save, totally nailed it.]
video; un: no2
I also do like your choice in usernames... [A chuckle from the blond.] Do you like fire or something?
video;
[said like such a fact should be immediately obvious to anyone. (aang please.) but he's full of good cheer, face still bright and animated, and it's clear he's happy to talk to whichever virtual stranger on the network wants to hit him up.]
Well, I am trying to get better at firebending, but Zuko says I've still got a long way to go. But my name isn't as cool as that one guy with all the X's in his name. [lance. he means lance.] I wish I could change mine now.
im so sorry for the late..!! cries i love aang
Hmm... I'm.. not sure what you mean by firebending. Like can you even bend...fire? [Sabo tilts his head at Aang...??? bending.. he can bend guns.. his pipe if he wanted to.. but bending anything not solid seems really questionable?? At the same time.. he's kind of curious..]
But with koi being that big.. I bet you could cook it and make it a feast for people... [Placing a hand over his chin, imagining how large this elephant sized koi.. roasting over a fire. Something that huge would definitely feed many many people.]
1/2 no worries!! i've been slow as heck lately anyway T_T
I don't think you should do that. [quiet, serious. it's obvious he's unhappy about the subject.] You can only find elephant koi in one place the world. If people started hunting them, there wouldn't be any left in the future for people to ride.
no subject
But you're right about firebending. It's bending fire, just like you bend air or water or earth.
[he's wised up a little after chihiro though, and instead of leaving that terrible explanation at that, he tacks on a question at the end.]
Do you want me to show you?
no subject
If they're endangered, then it's reasonable to try and protect them, is that right?
[Because mythical creatures like dragons are considered pretty sacred and if they were alive...well. He'd do his best to protect them too. Sabo definitely pays no mind when a change of topics happen. Considering how the concept of "bending" is new to him.]
By all means! I've never seen fire bend. ...nor those other elements. [Sabo, don't be an idiot.] I'd definitely would love to see a demonstration.

[aang's a little show-off at heart; the more people he can wow with any sort of bending, the happier he'll be. but first--]
Where are you? I'll come find you so I can show you in person.
show-off meet show-off: to be continued
I'm in front of the hat shop? Just got done shopping for hats with my younger brother. I can stand near the metal horses in front of here if it'll make it easier.
gently calls this a wrap for now
no subject
No, Luffy's expression is intent and interested from start to finish, a wide grin moving across his face.]
Unagi? Elephant Koi? Are those sea kings? [He makes a gesture with his hands, suggesting something big.]
Those all sound pretty dangerous to ride on--I bet it was a LOT of fun. [He's... giggling like a maniac, a little Shishishi sound.]
What did the Ocean Spirit look like? I didn't know the ocean had a spirit.
no subject
They're the biggest things in the ocean outside of Kyoshi Island so I guess you could call them that. And it was amazing riding the elephant koi, but the unagi did try to eat me so I guess that wasn't a very good idea.
[probably should have listened to katara on that one. oh well.]
The Ocean Spirit doesn't really look like anything...it just looks like the ocean.
[does that help??]
no subject
[This grin is huge.]
Are they as big as the island?? Man, I wonder what one of those would taste like...
[Sorry Aang, he's no vegan.]
And that makes sense. The ocean spirit should look like the ocean! I wonder if the Ocean back in my home has a spirit...
no subject
Really? You met a Sea King once? What was he like?
no subject
And then there was the one that looked like a Cow in Arlong Park--his name was MooMoo, I think. He was super loud.
And then there was the giant cat Sea Kings that are outside of Alabasta, and then the giant Sea Snakes that are at the calm belt near the Island where Hanbock lives...
[Sea Kings are just giant fish, not actual kings. Not that Luffy has enough sense to actually say that to Aang who clearly thinks the pirate captain is talking about actual Kings of the Sea.]
no subject
Whooaaaaaa! That's so many kings!
[aang's met his fair share of rules in his short life, but this guy takes it to a whole new level. besides, these kings all sound way cooler. i mean, moomoo? that's great!]
You must have really traveled the world to meet so many different people.
no subject
That's right! I've traveled to a lot of cool places so far with my crew and my ship. We're going to see the entire world one day, so I want to see even more kings and even become one myself, you know?
no subject
[aren't kings supposed to be like....born and stuff?]
no subject
I'm going to reach the end of the New World, claim One Piece, and become the King of the Pirates.
[All said with an extreme glee to his voice, of course.]
no subject
"One Piece"? One piece of what, the world's biggest crown?
no subject
Iunno! Noone does!
One Piece is a treasure left behind by the first Pirate King--Gold Roger! Where it is and what it is is a huge secret.
And I'm gonn'a find it.
no subject
Sooooo you and a bunch of your friends are running around all over the place in search of something called "One Piece" that no one even knows what it is?
[.....................................]
It better be really good then, whatever it is.
no subject
A true adventure is the journey between leaving and reaching your goal.
That's how stories are made, after all.
[His grin is so wide, he could split rocks with it, for serious. Shounen isn't even strong enough a word.]
I don't really care what it is. All I wanna' do is find it.
no subject
.....................]
Yeah, I guess so. And as long as you're with your friends and you're having fun, that's all that matters right?
[he kind of gets it? maybe??]
no subject
That's right. It doesn't really matter where you go and how long it takes. So long as you're with your nakama, any journey is a good one.
