[There's a lot of negative stuff happening on this planet, and it's not at all the same sort of friendly heartfelt journey that travelling on Zeta-12 had been. And while Luffy doesn't hate being here, it's definitely putting him in a mood for better things.

And while he's not the type to complain about an adventure, he'll just do the next best thing. Which is simple enough for the pirate captain, and for any who might listen into the short, sweet, and to-the-point voice message.]

I wanna' know about the coolest adventure you've ever gone on. Or just the coolest thing you've ever seen.

[He's quickly learning that there are thousands of worlds and places he'll never be--so naturally...
He wants to know about them. So why not share a story or two.]

[What exciting story could he possibly tell? The monster attack that led him to becoming a hero? The time he destroyed a huge UFO or was kicked to the moon and jumped back? Any number of monster fights and weirdos he's come up against?]

Once, there was a coupon for a meat sale in a newspaper for the next day at 6am. It was a huge sale, like the coupon would've saved me 60% on the whole purchase. But when I got there 10 minutes before the store opened there was already a sea of old biddies and housewives and shut-in weirdos [like himself] already there. Let me tell you, that was the fight of my life.

Oh that's a great story!! Did you know that Coby was the first guy I ever met when I started out as a pirate?
See, I got lost out on sea when I first went out and my ship went down. So I hid myself in a barrel so I wouldn't get washed out at sea.

I somehow ended up on a pirate ship belonging to that fat sea hag, Alvida. Coby was working as her Chore boy at the time. [What a wimp.]

[there's a fascinating subject. most of the stories he could tell aren't really about him and the ones that are can get a bit graphic- he didn't have the cleanest history in Squad 2, after all.

really saying anything at all is too much, but Olivia got him thinking about his perception around here, and he has to admit some of his old habits aren't going to work here. at least not as well.

and this story is so inane in the grand scheme of things that it doesn't even bother him to share. Luffy will probably appreciate it though.]

I traveled to a variation of the afterlife called the Netherworld where I came from, and met and battled all sorts of creatures and monsters there.

[He still doesn't half believe it happened, but hey, it was a thing. A ting he needs to write an article whenever he gets home.]

Also, I insulted the Lord of the Faeries to his face. He rather deserved it.
